Anyone going to the HOF game? Iâll be there considering i live about 15 minutes from it.
Any thoughts on the redskins. As much hype and RG3 is getting i think hes a bust, atleast for his rookie season.
No but that would be fun to go to.
Was Camâs rookie season a bust to you?
What would you consider a bust for RG3?
Your right, cam newton did exceptional but he didnât make them a playoff team.
Every skins fan who i have talked to thinks they can easily make the playoffs. A young QB can put up big numbers but it tougher to lead a team to the playoffs.
As a Skins fan, I will say I highly doubt weâll make the playoffs. Have stranger things happened and is it possible? Sure.
Generally, the Skins fans around here just think weâll do 2 to 4 games better than last season, which most likely wouldnât result in a playoff birth. Iâll just be happy if we win more games than last season. And continue to do so every season until we are a legit playoff team and then stay that way for a long time.
But there is a certain percentage of our fans, who should mostly be ignored, who think every year that weâre going to the superbowl. They say youâre not a real fan unless you believe they can do it. And every team has this phenomenon, but I wouldnât be surprised if Skins fans had a higher percentage of them.
Dan Snyder uses that hype to make money (second highest money-making franchise behind Dallas), despite having a losing team for the last several years. He owns the majority of the sports media outlets around here and puts out propoganda that feeds these lunatics and justifies what they say. Has people thinking our starters are all all-stars or could be if it wasnât for X or Y made-up excuse. Has us forgetting how much like ass we looked the previous season. Itâs sad, but has been happening this way for years now without an end in sight.
At least this time, weâre mortgaging our future (gave up 3 first round picks to move up to the 2nd spot, from the 4th, I believe) on a Heisman winning draft pick instead of a burnt-out former Eagle who, as good as he was, was never able to get over that final hump for his entire career. I just wish weâd stop trying to squash RG3 with all the hype, at this rate, it will be next to impossible for him to live up to it. Iâm just hoping he has a good rookie year, nothing special is expected, but it IS very welcome.
^ it will chill out once the season starts and being a Dallas fan we are both in the same boat of fandom. Rich owners who have to much control in the actual product on the field. But what can we do about it but hope and pray.
OMG the Jets had a fight in practice today!!! Lets analyze this fight for a couple of hours because it is such an important event!
And who was in the middle of it? Cromartie.
Lets all of us be shocked together.
Hey Deej. My house is 4 miles from Cowboy Camp.

Blame ESPN not the Jets

You do this every year Brad, I swear next year I am taking vaca during this time and coming to your house.

Lol
My 49ers will hopefully go 10-6 but be better than last years 13-3 team. Too many hard road games; GB, NYJ, NO and NE to even get close to that.
Biggest fix would be trading those 25-30yd FGs for TDs.

Oh I know. I avoid watching ESPN or NFL network right now because all they do is talk about the Jets and Broncos.

Theyâll be back in 2014, come on out!
This is all speculation but it echoes what I said about Burress and Pittsburgh:
http://tracking.si.com/2012/08/07/steelers-sign-plaxico-burress/?sct=nfl_t2_a10
Say what you want about him but even after the layoff he was still productive, he must be a tremendous douche, but if any team can tame him at this stage in the game its the steelers.

Ya, Iâm pretty sure Snyder models his ownership style after Jerry Jones. He took a bunch of seats out of Fed-Ex to make party decks ala the new Cowboy stadium.
Oh well, Iâm still excited to see how we do. Week 3 of preseason when we play the Colts should be interesting.

Heh, tougher schedule no doubt but in case you donât realize just how fluky SFâs success was last season: » The Niners Wonât Strike Gold in 2012
Make no mistake: this yearâs NFC West is as WIDE OPEN as any division in the entire league.

With the baby, I have limited my game going time to one game. It was a toss up between the Jets and San Fran. I took the San Fran tickets so I could bring my die hard step father. He hasnât been to an NFL game, and the seats I get are killer, expensive as shit, but killer.
I hope the Pats ruin his first experience with an ass whooping of the 9ers.
