^^not about the Blount and Martin combo… I think they are going to have really big years.

But yeah, they rest is pretty out there, especially the part about Vincet Jackson. That dude is a turd and a half.
Who in the NFC South has a potent enough defense that’s going to consistently keep those weapons under wraps, and arguably the best O-lineman from NOLA last year is now putting on a helmet with a pirate flag on it? Granted, it’s a flawed squad with holes and challenges, but I’m believing in them for the south 100%.

It’s Tampas year fellas. I feel it in m’bones me hardy’s.

All apologies to Pat, of course.

You will lose.

Well, who’d ever thought you’d miss officials huh?
Last night at the Falcons game Babineaux sacked Dalton, by the jersey, and they called a face mask penalty.
The replays showed clearly that his hands were no where near Dalton’s face. Instead 4rth down on lost yardage they picked up 15 and the first. It was pathetic. I know it’s preseason, but damn man, there’s bad calls and then there is making up shit from thin air. Had they not blow that call, we would have won… I don’t want to even get into the holding penalties they missed, and I am way up in the stands and can see it.

Here’s to hoping its just good ole fashioned brinksmanship, and the league fully intends to bring back the seasoned guys in time for Week1. Cause in this 24-7 media age, you know every major blown call in the regular season is getting the magnifying glass treatment.

But let’s be real here - nevermind the fans who spend their hard earned money to be entertained; its the players and coaches whose very job is on the line that need that correct officiating as often as humanly/replay-aided as possible.

One of the dudes officiating the Browns/Packers game last night was a high school official. High school. Part of me wants to say I can’t really blame the guy all that much for missed calls; think of the ridiculous difference in speed/athleticism(and gamesmanship) he is watching and attempting to officiate. That is what we have to look forward to in week 1 if this situation isn’t resolved.

I agree. When I read up on the lock out before pre season, I didnt have a thought about it. Turns out it may be more of a frustrating situation that I thought.

And shit that game sucked ass. If GB loses any one of O-line starters, they will be in a bind. The jury is still out on Harrell. I wont put all the blame from the performance due to the horrible performance the 2nd and 3rd string lineman gave. I certainly would be interested in trading for McCoy though. More game experience and he’s played in a similar system.

I’m calling it right now.

Bucs will win the South. Don’t care what their record is, it will be better than NOLA, ATL, and Carolina.

Schiano is at the helm, he’s got specialty coaches like Earnest Byner (RB’s) and Brian Cox (Defense front 7).

They’ve got a deep threat magic man in V. Jackson and their running game is deep. Blount and Martin will be the comittee with that big fucker Lorig blocking for them.

Freeman can sling it and he’s mobile. I think he’s going to chalk up last season as the sophmore blues and get after it this year. He’ll never be Cam Newton, or Matty Ice for that matter, but I think under Sullivan and Schiano he’s going to be serviceable. I’m really excited for the Bucs this year.

Two concerns:

 1. Rhonde Barbers’ coverage ability while in a wheelchair.
 2. Blount has a tendency to crack Boise players in the jaw. He might get a little froggy having a Bronco behind him in the depth chart.

They didn’t look too good against the Titans last night who didn’t play with a quarterback. (and I am just talking about the first teams)

Phillip Rivers sucks… Homeboy is an INT machine.

Dolphins going with Tannehill this year. Good idea IF the O-line sorts it’s shit out. If not we may just turn him into another David Carr.

Looks like Seahawks have Russel Wilson as a starter?

Makes an offense plenty potent when your QB can create, but really I think Ol’ Pete is scrambling in order to compete against the 49’ers in the West.

Go 9ers!!! do or die time baby!!!

Speaking of Cowboys, how are you feeling after last night Derek? The O-line needs help desperately and the recieving squad is looking scary. The defense doesnt look too bad. Sensabaugh and Crunch looked good.
Its preseason, if the Oline looks bad through preseason then I am seriously scared for this year
cowboys have a lot to be worried about IMO. Not even about Romo this time. O-line, Witten (I guess not that big of a deal), Dez Bryant w/ possible disciplinary action, Miles Austin and his hammies problems, center problems, Felix failing that conditioning test… who knows mang
I just heard Whitten got hurt and will miss the rest of preseason… I know it’s pre-season, but that is still not good. It may be time to panic in Dallas.
Man, Cowboy fans have got to be getting sick of this shit year after year.
And even the Cowboys themselves.

Oh yeah, almost forgot.

GO STEELERS.

Sorry Derek. Umadbro?

haha Beasley throws up right in front of the cheerleaders. that’s great

Read the others! They’re all just as bad. The one about the Lions hit home particularly hard.

I like the way Drew Magary writes though. He’s good enough to work for the big networks, but writing for deadspin gives him the opportunity to write pretty freely.
