NFL 2012 Part 2

The Bears went way in left field here and hire Marc Trestman, a CFL HC. I like the pick. Im not gonna act like I new who the hell this guy was but his resume and the things Jerry Rice, Gruden, and Walsh had to say about him makes it look like a smart pick. With two CFL titles and making it to the big game in 3 times in the past 5 years, he cant be that incapable.
I think time and game management might be troublesome for him, as perhaps his only real hinderence coming from the CFL.

Looks like Chicago just hired Kromer from the Saints to be the new OC. Good. Get Tice the fuck out of there.

True(about game management) but like college coaches, some come in working well and some dont. We will certainly see.

And totally agree about Tice.

Kelly to Philly.

Make up your damn mind and quit flip-flopping.

Game and time management issues were both big problems for Lovie. The team couldn’t make adjustments during the game, they’d have to wait for halftime. Also, Lovie used timeouts in some terrible spots during his tenure.

I think this could work out very well. I like the Kromer pick-up as OC with Trestman as HC. That suggests that Trestman will basically be calling the plays, which is why we got him in the first place.

He certainly has an impressive resume but at the end of the day this will be his first stint as a HC in the NFL. It could end up being a disaster but I think the odds are this will turn out to be a good move.

Does the Chip Kelly hiring mean Vick stays an Eagle? If Kelly convinces front office to shell out the 16m on his contract, he’s staying.

Chargers got Whisenhunt as offensive coordinator. I’m happy with the hiring they did. Now they just need a good draft to hopefully get back on track.

I actually think all teams did pretty good in terms of their head coaches and OC positions. GM’s I’m not sure about because I know dick all about GMs.

Well I can’t see Nick Foles running the read option, lol.

Derek, you see that the Broncos hired Norv to be their OC?

thought norv was hired as the Browns OC

Yep, I’m a dumbass. I don’t know why I typed Broncos. It’s the Browns.

Anybody notice that Tebow won more play-off games with the Broncos than Manning? Just sayin’
And next year Manning will still be a quarterback and from the looks of it Tebow will not even be playing football.

He’ll play somewhere. That would be a tremendous waste of talent if he were not playing.

I would say that position is irrelevant on the Broncos. Manning runs that offense, Norv just needs to shut up and obey.

Fixed that for you.
