Right there with you. I was listening to a segment on NFL Network today going through his career and then the Superbowl he won… of course they don’t mention a thing of the events that transpired after the Superbowl.
Anyways, yes he has been fun to watch but I’m glad to see him gone.
Wait, what happened after the Super Bowl? I just assumed he was a murderer because he’s black.

I am in no way shape or form a Ravens fan.
However to play LB in the NFL for 17 years is fucking impressive no matter what may have transpired in his youth that he was never convicted of in a court of law.
Okay question for you all, if you were in Romo’s shoes how would you take this?
In life if there is one thing I have learned is there is always someone who is stronger, bigger, faster, smarter out there. Its humbling and difficult to handle when you are young, but the wiser/older you get you learn to accept this.

However it still stings.
First off, I continue to be impressed by RG3. Not only as a player but as a person. Good to see as a rookie. If Im Romo, I would wait until someone from the media asked me about it before I said anything. When they do ask me, I would be polite and say something simple like “I appreciate his kind words”. But thats tough. The life of a Cowboys QB.

He was around, but he didn’t kill anybody. His crew had some involvement of some sort. But to his credit, he completely straitened out after that. So I have forgiven him. I would like to play Monopoly with him…He apparently loves that game, as do I.

It was the superbowl before that the said events transpired, in Atlanta. The facts of the case basically bare out the fact that he really didn’t do anything. He was in reality hanging out with some bad folks, and at the wrong place at the wrong time. To his credit he got rid of that posse immediately and kept his nose clean ever since.
The two people that were shot were no choir boys either, they were hardened criminals. They were going to get shot eventually.
“Lewis’ attorneys, Don Samuel and Ed Garland, of the Atlanta law firm Garland, Samuel & Loeb, negotiated a plea agreement with Howard, the Fulton County District Attorney, where the murder charges against Lewis were dismissed in exchange for his testimony against Oakley and Sweeting, and his guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice.[12] Lewis admitted that he gave a misleading statement to police on the morning after the killings. Superior Court Judge Alice D. Bonner sentenced Lewis to 12 months’ probation, the maximum sentence for a first-time offender;[37] and he was fined $250,000 by the NFL, which was believed to be the highest fine levied against an NFL player for an infraction not involving substance abuse.[38] Under the terms of the sentence, Lewis could not use drugs or alcohol during the duration of the probation.”
Why did he give a misleading statement? He also reached a settlement with the one of the victims daughters. While he may not have murdered anyone I truly feel he tried to cover it up, whether the 2 guys killed were “bad guys” means nothing to his guilt in the crime.
I find it sickening that this guy was given a reprieve in the public eye and I get nausea every time I see melodramatic bullshit. Torrey Smith’s brother dies and what do we see? Ray Lewis crying.

There is that… I did make him sound more innocent than he was. He wasn’t ‘innocent’, but he didn’t kill anybody either.

Well, what do you know? I TOO love a rousing game of Monopoly. We should find a way to play each other online sometime.
This might be one of the phoniest speeches ever, from someone with a total lack of perspective. Like I’m supposed to believe this fucking asshole cares about what happens to the Stanford basketball team.

edit: I’ll play you for avatars
I’d rather play for money, or a tub or creatine…
The reason I don’t bet is because I have the worlds worst luck. If I make a bet, I am sure to lose. I have made my donations to the Vegas casinos for sure. I don’t want to jinx my team which is why I won’t bet on the Falcons. If I bet on them, I will seal their fate
I can handle losing at Monopoly though, but I am pretty good at it.

Not only that but wasn’t there a whole “I lost my white suit from that night [which probably had blood on it]” thing going on
Alittle old but something that hasnt been brought up here. I pretty much agree with Hodge on Tebow as a player(his skills, abilites, etc) but I think he took the attack alittle too far and you could tell Jaws and Schefter thought he did too. “Phony as a three dollar bill”? Come on.
Tebow has been a good sport this whole season with the shit that occured in the QB debacle. I think he deserves to be alittle pissed off
And I absolutely think Jacksonville could benefit from Tebow. Both for revenue and attracting fans and possibly at the QB position. He cant be worse than Gabbert. Cant be.

Lol
Paging Pat
Report to TNation Football thread
I already emailed ESPN’s president demanding the firing of that old has-been half ass full back, who uses “anonynous” sources to attack a man’s character on a baseless accusations denied both by the player and the coach…
Handled it…
I am not the only one. There are numerous fire that limp dick websites, Merril Hoge for being a total douche.
It’s one thing to criticize his play, even if he went 8-1 with a play-off victory against SB favorites in the Steelers. It’s a whole other to attack a man’s character based on a story that was not true…
I hope he chokes himself on his badly tied triple-Winsor ties… Seriously, it’s not the '70’s anymore…
Yes, I really did email the president of ESPN directly. I know how to find email addresses when I want to.
