UT Norman now resides in Motown, basically.
Interesting picks for the Lions, kind of scratching my head.

I’m officially confused. I get the pick at 22, but now this pick at 37 has me just completely boggled. There’s still some good receivers available; I thought the entire reason we grabbed Weeden at 22 was because he was less likely to be available(or a QB as good as him) at 37 than a receiver(Jeffries, Hill, Broyles, or Fleener as a great receiving TE), but then we REACH for a tackle?[/quote]
Im not real happy with our draft this year. I dont see how a RB can hold up anymore, even AP blew his knee out and might not ever be the same. I just hope that TRich being relatively young, and putting enough time in the weight room to make this forum envious will work out.

FWIW, Brady Quinn was also drafted with the 22nd pick. That should make you feel better.
I’m happy with the Niners draft.
We needed some help on offense big time so the first round receiver was good with me.
I was also VERY happy with the LaMichael James pick up. I know we have a stable of backs right now but I watched A LOT of his college games (being a big USC fan) and the dude is good. At a minimum they could put him back to return punts and not fumble the ball every other time lol.
I’m also looking forward to seeing what Harbaugh can do with Moss.

Even if the presence of James this year is to only provide incentive/competition for Kyle Williams to hang onto the ball, this was a great pick.

just saw some film from Randy Moss first workout with the Niners this week… he looked good. He looked really smooth while running routes. I have high hopes.

Don’t really have one, hence the FWIW (since it ain’t worth much). Honestly I do hope the Browns get their shit together, and that Weeden is the guy they think he is. It appears that the Bengals finally have a coherent strategy in place, so Cleveland is the lone holdout in the AFC North (in terms of becoming a winning franchise).
I like having a tough division to play in. Makes the season more interesting.
Vilma, Hargrove, W Smith, Fujita - I do wonder if those suspensions will hold up, as is.
Regardless, that Curtis Lofton signing is sure looking better and better…
Wow, been a very active week for football related news. Now Suggs may be out for the entire 2012 season.

Big blow to the Ravens. I’d like to be happy about it, but nothing about a player suffering a career-threatening injury makes me happy. I have a lot of respect for TSizzle as a competitor, despite his hatred for the Steelers.
Hope he makes a full recovery in time for 2013.
What happens to a players’ salary when they are injured in non-football related activities like this, during the offseason? Do they still get paid the same?
Ball too hard.

It is a work related injury so they are entitled to a portion of their salary, I am sure that is in the CBA what % that entails.
