Really? I musta missed that. I looked around & still couldn’t find it anywhere. That being said, I think Mia. would be a better destination than Stl. Stl just doesn’t excite me. Besides the Arch & Jack n a Box what else they got? Especially now that Pujols is gone.

How bout Polian in Chi.? Might not be a bad fit.

I can see Indy being a dark horse as well.

Turnovers and lack of turnovers have been a problem all year no doubt. If Ike had hands he would have six or seven a year.

I hope Redmans fumbleitis was a one day sickness cause they are going to need him, kinda thin at RB right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if BA asks Ben to throw fifty times this week. One week I like his play calling and the next week I want him strung up lol. Can’t stand the empty backfield plays he calls.

I can’t decide on whats been more frustrating this year, lack of turnovers or red zone offence. They need to target that beanpole TE Saunders more next year, I’m excited to see what he can do with more coaching and experiance.
Hines’ 1000th catch was like Strahan getting the sack record when Favre morphed into the old lady from the Life Alert commercials right in front of him. It was bullshit. None of the other 1000 catch guys had to resort to 1 yard bubble screens and shovel passes for negative yardage FOR AN ENTIRE SEASON to hit the mark. For every player that was excited for Hines, I’d bet there were 3 more who were grumbling under their breath.

Red zone offense is more frustrating to me because the O has no issue moving the ball on teams. But they can’t seem to pile on the points like they should be able to given the available talent. Two 1st and goals from inside the 5 against Cleveland only netted two FGs. That’s not good enough to win in January.

The defense, on the other hand, has not been dominant like they have in the past in terms of big plays. That has been the rule this year, and it is primarily because they are struggling to pressure the QB with consistency. Despite that, they are still ranked number one in the NFL in terms of yards per game and yards per play.

So I really do not know what to think about the 2011 Steelers. Any team can get hot and make a playoff run, but nothing about this team tells me that they have the ability to do that against playoff-caliber teams.

I can see Polian in Chi town, BUT he is a rebuilder, he built the Bills, Carolina and then Indy. Who needs to be rebuilt Stl, wow I sound like a Rams fan.

Polian to the Rams and his first hire is Fischer.

I heard some of the issues was actually Polian stepping back and letting his kid Chris do the work. He is not as good as his daddy.

I would not want to be in the AFC East until Brady retires. He’s said he wants to play til he’s 40, so that’ll be 2017. In reality, he’ll probably play until injuries force him to quit.

I’ve said all year, good enough to get to the playoffs but not enough to get to the SB, just good enough to piss me off lol, and that was before Ben got hurt. If they had a consistant O-Line they could have dominated this year. This has to be addressed this coming draft or through FA. Ben won’t last if they don’t, period. They have the D-Line stockpiled with young first round talent, now get some protection for the QB or he’s dead meat in three years. Thats true for most teams though.

I agree with you on Wallace too, AB is outworking him and it shows. I bet you that guy grunts every time his feet touch the ground on his routes, huge effort on every play. Next year is a contract year I believe for Wallace so we’ll see how hard he works for those not-so-perfect throws.

Both Flynn & Nelson catapulted me to a win in the championship game of my fantasy league. That’s a 500.00 buck win rt there.

I can easily see the Giants beating Atl. Don’t think SF stands a chance against N.O. Only because SF’s O can’t keep up W/N.O’s O.

I can’t figure out if Pitt is really that bad w/a hurt Ben, or Cle. def. was that good.
New Orleans’ offense only averages something like 24 points a game on the road, and that includes a couple of road games on turf. The Niners will definitely keep up with that offense in the swirling winds and possibly sloppy turf at Candlestick Park. Plus, the Niners have consistently forced teams to play the game on THEIR terms, something the Saints haven’t really been forced to cope with all year, and have lost when they have had to. If the game were in NO, I’d like NO by at least 10 points, but it’s in Candlestick, where the Niners play well and they’ll have 69,000 liquored-up fans going fucking ballistic. I go to several games a year there and it isn’t a wine and cheese crowd by any means, and hasn’t been for about 20 years. It’s a Jack Daniels and reds crowd that has been starving to see the Niners back in the playoffs and that place is going to be fucking LOUD on the 14th. Niners will take it 29-21.
It wouldn’t be a shocker if SF won. All I’m saying is if Bree’s stays on this torrid tear he is on, it’ll be hard for SF to manufacture quick points. Who is covering Graham? I can see the wr’s getting taken out but not him. I like Crabtree & Davis (Davis a Md boy as am I) so I would like to see him succeed. I think the most interesting thing will be N.O. run game against that stout ass def. of the niners. Rather incredible what the front 7 has accomplished this yr.

Is the weather supposed to be a factor?
Patrick Willis covers Graham, or maybe Donte Whitner when he lines up in the slot.

imo probably to the Rams.
Id guess Rams also. Its a great opportunity for Fisher to take advantage of. With a high pick QB coming back, top 3 draft pick, and high cap room, he will probably head that way.
I say Stl myself, he had to face Manning twice a year so now he would be facing Brady twice a year in Miami.

Stl defense is better than people think and Bradford will develop fine if they get him some weapons.
he could be facing Brady AND Manning twice a year if he lands in Miami.

That normally means it boils down to home field, special teams and # of turnovers.
Agreed.

Here is the caveat. How much will ‘experience’ in this kinda game play. Do the Niners have anyone on that team that has played in the playoffs? You know their has to be some jitters & apprehension when you don’t know what to expect. That also includes the heavy handshake dude.
The Niners have the best special teams and defense in the league. As good as their defense is, their special teams is way better. Andy Lee consistently drops 60 yard punts inside the 10. It doesn’t matter how many of their players have been in the playoffs. They’ve already played in come-from-behind victories in 3 of the most hostile/loudest stadiums in the league this year in Philly, Detroit and Seattle. They’ve been tested all year.
