NFL 2011 Part III

LOL I dont get to do this too many times, so Im juicing this week dry!

Seriously though (maybe Im wrong beans LMK) McGinest, Vrabel, Milloy, Johnson, Bruschi, Law. They were all on Parcell’s Pats team in 96 right?
One of the things I remember when the real Big Bill was the Dallas coach was he said when you run a 3-4 defense you can never have enough LB’s. They can be in your special teams and they make up the heart of your defense.

When was the last time that Little Bill drafted LB’s?

LOL @ little Bill…

and not for nothing the Manningham penalty (for over celebrating) was the best thing that could of happened to the jints, it actually gave them more time to score!

I cannot wait till next weeks games

Wow Wilbon and Kornheiser clowned Matty Sanchez pretty hard on today’s PTI: lined up wide, they highlighted his triple-whammy of flinching at the CB, getting thrown down and I think also getting flagged all on the same play

(sorry guys, I couldn’t help but mention it here)

Okay if you look at most Great Defenses in the NFL they have an Elite Pass rusher. It tends to elevate the play of all the defense. Justin was not getting doubled that much last year, teams were not game planning to stay away from him.

Aldon has started to make teams aware, this opens up other guys to make plays also. Its a team effort for sure. If he would have been a bust I just believe the niners would have been the same type of D as last year. Now they are really scary.

Unless they play the Cowboys who kicked there ass.
We have a totally different defense from last year. Franklin, Spikes, Lawson are out. Sopoaga is in for Franklin at NT, Ray McDonald is playing DE instead for Sopoaga, Brooks is playing OLB for Lawson, Navarro Bowman at ILB is huge upgrade over Spikes, and Whitmore is playing strong safety. Overall more team speed (what the 90s Dallas defense was known for).

Aldon mostly plays on 3rd downs or subs for OLB Haralson. I think OLB Brooks contract year and having a faster player in Ray McDonald at the other DE is helping the team a lot.

Also, Fangio is a much better D coach IMHO than Manusky.

Looks like Boston’s decade of sport domination is finally over… It has been a good 11 or so years, shout out to Brady, Pedro, and the dudes who play basketball and hockey…

RE: Little Bill. Yeah he had some good players left over from Big Bill, but they were cast off’s and nobodies before the wins too…

He needs to stop trying to be GM, Coach and God Like Figure. He needs to eat some humble pie, give his input into player personnel but let someone else be a fucking GM. Holgren has/had the same problem. Can’t get out of his own way.

Pass rusher? Sure, that would make up for a lot of this problem, but without a Rodney Harrison, they aren’t winning anymore Super Bowls.

Brady will lose his third game in a row, and again, it won’t be his fault… The Jets will roll the Pats at home this week, and I’m going to fucking shoot myself when it is done.

The Giants are my second team, and it looks like I’ll be riding their nuts for awhile, because the Pats are on “crash and burn” path. Bill won’t lose the lockerroom, but he needs a harsh 8-8 season to slap some humble into him. Fucking guy needs real coaches under him, and a real GM, and some fucking players with NFL level talent on D.

I love our defense. It’s built around the best LB in the league, coached by a great coordinator, and loaded with young talent.

If Aldon could turn into Ware, I’ll be in heaven.

I hate praising Dallas players, but since OLBs have been my favorite players (LT, Haley, DT), if Aldon can become 85% of Ware, we’ll have the most dominant front 7 in the NFL. (We’re younger than Pit and Baltimore, which I believe are still a tad better than us this year because of familiarity to their scheme).

How ridiculous is the NFL? Jets play in prime time Sun. night & than have to fly to Denver for a Thurs night game. Just doesn’t make any sense at all. It’s a conspiracy I tell ya!

BTW, heard Sandusky asked a young lad to spot him on deadlifts.

I don’t like the Thurs night games. I like the anticipation of waiting all week, and it’s a weeknight. I’m too old to stay up that late.

Cheap Sandusky shot… not that he doesn’t deserve it but as a PSU grad I have talked about him with so many people the past 48hours that I am Sandusky’d out.

By the way Matty… Sanchize on pace for 26TD/14INT… our bet is gonna be closer than I thought

See I don’t get this - what is there to even talk about??

That sicko will get protective custody (far away from the prison’s general population) for the rest of the life, its like his luck never runs out. WTF.

I love Thursday night games! I like having football on almost 7 days a week. For me I get to watch more games than if they are all concentrated on Sat and Sun.
I have a thrus falcons game some time soon…I think I’ll be taking friday off!

He was the LB coach on the Pats 3 SB wins. He was the Raiders DC prior to Cable taking the job and then he was at the Browns DC till this year.

I have been wanting the guy for a few years now, he has taken the Raiders and the Browns and made them respectable with hardly any talent. He had no off season to install his D, and we only brought a couple of his players to the team. This is still Wade’s defense, I knew this year was going to be up and down. He gets more of his style of players and with D Ware we will be back in the top 5.
IMO I always thought the Browns D was always more tied with Shaun Rodgers’ health while Ryan was there… is that a poor impression?
Look what the Browns did last year against the Pats and a few other good teams. Problem with the browns has been NO fucking Offense. Their D was always playing from behind in that reqards. In this D we need to beef up or front 3 and have inside LB’s that can hold their own on covering TE’s. That was what the Eagles exploited that game. Brookings has lost a big step and it looks like Brady James has also.
Fucking Pat’s defense is just bad. That’s going to fuck them up all year, there is no reason to have lost that game.
I just don’t understand why they didn’t bolster their D from the draft and trades??? It was weak last year too. If I were belichick, I’d be shopping Bama and LSU pretty hard for the draft.
I dont know Pat I know big Bill has gotten some grief the last two drafts that he needs to stop stockpiling and actually fucking use some of the picks.

He did get two awesome TE’s though. He has a decent middle of the D, his problem is LB and secondary.
Perhaps, I don’t know. I do know that every time the defense hits the field I cringe.
print wrote:
Belicheats biggest problem on def. isn’t just that he has bad players, but he doesn’t have take charge, call plays players. In the past he’s had both Teddy’s & Harrison to read the O & than switch the calls to what would work best for the def. Their is no clear cut leader on def. either. Outside of Wilfork, none of them stay in their gaps.
No, it’s the players…Either they don’t execute or they can’t.

Another stupidly ridiculous roughing the QB call (on Babin of the Eagles).

This stuff is really fucking up the game of NFL football. Really.
Yeah, that was a little gay. But I got one thing to say about the Eagles…LOL!

I want to know how Ryan Clark’s hit was a 15 yd penalty and Ray Lewis’ CLEAR fucking headshot of Hines Ward was just “good hard football”. Personally I think they were both awesome hits and neither one should be penalized, but if you’re going to flag one, don’t you have to flag the other as well?

FUCK YOU ROGER GOODELL, YOU WORTHLESS FUCKING CUNT
