Heard this morning, its the Bengals is it that surprising?
I know I’m pretty bias in this whole regard… but I really don’t get the NFL’s vendetta against weed. I mean, I get why it’s in place and realize it’s not going away - the whole “family-friendly” image is one of those things that keep it elevated above the NBA, and even MLB if you look at guys like Linsecomb who is a staunch MJ supporter.

But really, if I were in the NFL, after a long Sunday, there could probably be nothing more divine than rolling up a J, eating a HUGE meal, and then massages/spa treatment/what have you.

But, again, I guess it comes with the territory.

SSC not to derail thread, but you do know that as of today 12:53 pm central time that all across America it is illegal to purchase, sell and consume Weed?

Right you know this?

Just fucking with you, the NFL is NEVER going to allow its players to march for legalization of Pot. These guys are even monitored and discouraged about alcohol consumption.

fUCK THAT, LOAD THEM UP ON CHEAP BEER AND VODKA… NOW THAT WOULD BE A SUNDAY TO WATCH…

oH WAIT, THAT WAS TEH NFL UP UNTIL ABOUT 1996

Well one of the greatest Defensive players of all time was high on Crack and Cocaine 90% of the time.

Maybe we are thinking about this all wrong?

Derek, do you think Jones will start Romo this week? Wouldnt you whether have him rest an extra week to prepare for a team who is actually worth a match?

Oh god, this BB football life is Pats porn…

Fuck is it awesome.

ugh yeah it was ugly. if you really dissect the tape all the hits were not due to shitty blocking. I like to stay positive on him but his decision making really sucks at times. he hones in on his primary and then doesnt ever check down, causing him to hold the ball for a significantly long time and if anyone expects an oline to hold their block for 8+ seconds theyre crazy. Sure the protection broke down some but im really losing faith in cutler, just cant seem to cut it.

AAAANNNDDDDD martz thinks running is against the rules. When you run the ball 11 times, yes mike the defensive coordinator for an NFL team will realize this and put a helluva pass rush on you every damn play, a bunch of idiots everyone in the damn organization. Im surprised theyre not ordering fake injuries every other play!!!
FF its Mike Martz system not Cutler’s fault 100% ALL the X players and experts predicted this before Martz took over. He does to many 7 step drops, he had lightning in a bottle with the greatest show on turf and he keeps trying to recreate it.
truth, thats kinda what i was saying, i think. martz is a pansy, not all cutlers fault, but sometimes his decisions do suck and when added with sucky play calling its all downhill.
Greg Williams made Peyton make bad decisions in the SB that is what good DC’s with great players do. Its one game, no worries.
yeah but this one game has been going on for a couple of years.

Martz is one of the the biggest scam artists in the entire NFL. He got lucky to have Faulk, Holt, Bruce, and Warner play in his system and make it look good. Truth is, those player were good, the system was horrific, and it will continue to be so for every other team that tries to use it.

Mike Martz has no business being a coach at any level of the game.
I agree WC where has he been able to reproduce that production?

Dude must be a hell of a salesman or he can suck start a Harley.
agreed 100%. All the chicago news papers, yes i read paper newspapers everyday, are now on this big kick about if martz keeps screwing up lovie should just give the OC job to Tice. Im all for that bc Tice is the man. Do not talk badly about mike tice mmmkay. And really I would be all for it, he would pound the ball with forte, hit knox deep it would be a great offense, but lovie and martz go wwwaaayyyy back no chance of him firing martz.

Jones doesnt make that decision :). He is the GM and owner not the medical or coach.

I think that if Tony Romo plays and wins the game that he will forever be cemented as a great Cowboy and his teammates will 300-esqe follow him into hell.

As a coach my whole thought would be 1. is he going to hamper my team or help it? 2. are the medical staff really going to clear him 3. Kitna is a year older can he still do it

Its MNF against your division foe who is actually leading the division. Although this is week 3 this is a big game.

You know this is kind of sad to me, he just seemed like a really good kid. It is what it is, anybody think he can resurrect his career somewhere besides the seachickens?

I think anyone who was a first round pick 2 years ago could have a chance on a better team. I mean, would anyone be THAT surprised if he was traded to the Pats for a 5th rounder and had 8 sacks next year?

No but your comment about the sacks is what I believe the problem is. He is not a pass rusher, the guy was a damn good LB at Georgia. To me he is a strong side ILB for a 3-4 team, think Brady James from Dallas.

Pete didnt draft him, he was stuck with him and I think he is round peg in square hole. I would like to see Dallas pick him up and give him a shot maybe next year.

He will have to work from the bottom up this time but sure, why not. Different system?

James Farrior was a first round pick by the Jets, can’t remember specifics but the Jets let him go/trade and Pittsburgh got him. He’s been gold for them since. I think perhaps it’s his last year in the Black n’ Gold, unless he wants to take a pay cut.

I thought he was more of an OLB in a 4-3… sacks were a poor stat to bring up for him specifically I was just saying if he went somewhere like that and excelled it wouldn’t shock me.

I know but you thought sacks for a reason Pete thought the same thing when he came in last year and tried to do some 3-4 packages with him playing outside on the edge. He does not have the fast twitch for the rusher and he is not big enough to take on the rush like a Spencer or Woodley.

He is an inbetween player and protecting him with some beef in front of him and let him run some would be better suited for him.

Oh come on. Other than the medical staff, Jones has more decision power than anyone else. Thats one reason why Dallas has had issues. But it is a big game in the sense of the rivalry. Although, Id rather sit him so he would be ready for next week.

Wow, crazy. Who saw that coming?

I could see him getting an opportunity somewhere, definitely. I can think of a handful of 4-3 teams that he might fit in well at. Hopefully Detroit turns a blind eye towards him, lol.

And honestly, you can go in with whatever philosophies you want in Seattle but when you don’t resign Lofa Tatupu and then dock a guy like Curry… you’d think that they’d have the linebacking corpse of Pittsburgh or something. Hmmmmmm.
