Palmer to Raiders for 2 1rst round draft picks? Was that worth it?
They will hardly have any picks left for the draft.
I think it was a great trade for both sides. Oakland has a good season going and wants to go all in for the playoffs, especially since this is the year in memory of Al Davis.
On paper, Palmer was a great fill in or upgrade for Campbell who went down with the broken collar bone. We’ll just have to see if Palmer returns as the Pro Bowl version, or the weak armed post surgery version…
As for the Bengals? They’re in the tail end rebuilding mode, and sniping two first round picks for a player that was retired is pretty damn slick.

I agree with WC here, look the Raiders got set back what 5 years easily due to Bubba Gump Russell. Carson is only 31 and he was in Cinci for fucks sake, not like he really enjoyed playing with X-Cons and fucktards.
Time will tell, however with that running game and defense, I could see him really doing well there.
Speaking of undefeated, I’m calling it now… if the Packers can get past the Lions twice this season, they are going undefeated all the way to the Superbowl~~~

What are you talking about ‘same old Jets fan?’ Since their is really only 2.5 of us & I consider Romie the half cuz he’s so damn good looking. He can’t have it all, can he? We’re not bad mouthing him, just calling it as we see it. They are not enjoyable to watch. 10yds in the 1st qtr?! Really!!! We supposed to just let that go?
I can’t speak for Matty but I’ve never been a fan of Sanchez & I’ve posted that consistently. Sanchez can only work when the running game is on go. He can’t take over a game, he can’t win a game by himself. I certainly don’t put all the blame on him, but he needs to step it up when the running game bogs down. He is missing targets that he should easily hit. Last yr he could Santonio on the slant & I can’t tell you how many times he’s missed this yr. Easy passes aren’t being completed & they have not gotten Plax involved at ALL.
As for playing well in the 2nd half, it was the Dolphins for Gods sake. Not to mention the running game kicked in a bit too.
BTW- Matty is the BIGGEST Sanchez fan I’ve ever seen.
Im not sure “same old Jet fans” mean either print. What he posted has been well documented, neither of us are doubting that the line has been the main issue with the Jets. Wayne Hunter is NOT playing like he did in the playoffs, Vladimir Ducasse has been a complete bust. Nobody not even Johnny Unitas would do well behind that line this year.
This team is as average as it gets, and are lucky to be 3-3, 2-4 would be more indicative of how they have played. They did not truly address their weaknesses with their pass rush and took a step back personnel wise. Rex Ryan claimed this would be a superbowl team during the lockout before he even knew who his roster was.
Im an honest Jet fan and as diehard as it gets…been a fan since the Walton era, so please explain the same old jet fan, comment.
There is no bigger supporter of Sanchez on this forum than me, but to say he doesent deserve any of the blame for their subpar play is just ignorant.

How do you feel about Rex’s big mouth? Do you thing it has a negative or positive influence on the team or any at all? What about Jets fans in general in your experience? I know I would hate it. I like my coaches and players to just shut up and play.
I have never been a fan of brash coaches, however when Ryan became coach he made the Jets relevant nationally, maybe not all positive but it at least made the country realize we have a pretty good other team in NY. But the fact of the matter is his mouth is becoming bigger than the team and the team and it starting to get annoying. Nationally fans are getting the wrong impression of the Jet players because in reality they dont have any more loud mouth players than any other team.
It all come downs to winning, they have 3 tough games coming up and have to go 2-1.

Some of it just seems so unnecessary. Why come out and say that? Might as well announce if he was King of the world he would have cured world hunger. He hasn’t won any rings with his current team so he should pipe down about them.

Haha, I might actually believe him if he didn’t guarantee his team to go to the Super Bowl year after year. The Chargers never had that dominating defense that the Jets had.
Alot of talking heads have been saying and Im starting to believe that many teams have caught up to Rex Ryan’s defensive schemes, which in turn has turn our D into a solid and unspectacular D…I hope they prove me wrong.
Holy shit. There are alot of Jets fans here. Its…disgusting…
Looks like the T-Rex is taking the back seat. Bout time. Beck seems to have a smarter head on his shoulders and possibly a better arm. The latter will take some time to tell.
SSC, looks like Newhouse has filled in quite nicely with the absence of Bulaga. Jared Allen will be lining up on him. It will be a great test.
