haha, I honestly can’t tell if the Pats D finally stepped up, or if the Jets are that bad.
I still think the Pats D sucks and caught the jets at a good time, and the Jets simply have a mediocre offense.
God awful, the Pats D is GOD AWFUL. But the Jets D really came up limp in the 4th too. I missed everything in the second half but the last drive where the Pats ran down the D’s throat.

It looked like on the drive before the half and the drive before the pats ended it, the Jets were moving at will and scoring with ease. I dunno tho…

Can’t tell me Cormartie is going to run his yapper again is he? Oh, that is right, win/lose/commit the most pass interference calls in the league, and still talk shit. LOL that has to drove you nuts.
No doubt The Jets D is good but waaaay overhyped, and as you know this is coming from a die hard realistic jet fan…At the very least the Jets have a ton more in division games to play and play at home for the next month.

Its hard to root for Cromartie, hes a pussy, and an idiot the total antithesis of Revis who is as blue collar and quiet (for the most part) as you get, and not in any way overrated. I expect it from Cromartie, but the guy who irks me the most is kyle wilson, he has become the Mark Gastineau of their secondary

Man, Cromartie is really hard to root for, for real. When he’s on he’s a real possible game-changer, and a poor-man’s shutdown corner. Those moments are pretty far and in-between, though. Lots of character concerns, but that’s pretty well-publicized.

I’m definitely with ya in regards to Kyle Wilson - what a disappointment. He’s not disciplined, he blows coverages, he plays like a high-schooler who’s never been coached up. I got to say Rex had better see a mountain of promise in him, because I’m just not seeing it at this point.

Okay, done post-whoring for now. Probably not actually.

Actually - GODDAMIT, HOW MANY FUCKING PASSES IS JERMICHAEL FINLEY GOING TO DROP TONIGHT?! RAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

By the way, as an indirect address to a lot of the Patriots’ defensive criticism - give it time, give it time! They still have a pretty damn young defense (sans a few pieces,) they will come around. I truly believes they’re a mid-tier, or possibly slightly better defense. I’m really not feeling their new base defense orientation, though. Bellicheck is a disciple of the 3-4 and he’s obviously had some good success with it in the recent years. I know it’s not like he exclusively runes a 4-3, but… damn. Don’t fix what ain’t broke.
I hope you are right, it is just we (fans & local media) had higher hopes coming into the year. Just seems like the youth took a step BACK this year. A lot fo sophomore slumps.

I’m a big Revis fan, and happy he got paid for having to put up with what he does, lol.

Run game got to the D tonight, that has to piss Rexy off. & The Jet’s run game picked it up a bit tonight too.

I’m still curious if all that screaming from Rex all week, and the 3rd loss in the row isn’t making a couple dudes in the locker room a bit uneasy… Lot of yappers on that team. Shit BB lost his lockerroom 2 years ago, lol, it happens.

Holy moley Batman! This game is has me jumping and yelling! Way to go coaches!

I’m not sure what’s going to happen first at this point, between a heart attack, aneurysm, or a stroke, but fuck. This game was really stressful.

I really like Roddy White, but I hope he learns a big lesson today. Don’t write checks that your ass can’t cash. (Assuming we end up winning - which is looked pretty good at this point, haha.)

(By the way, hilarious that he’s talking shit when GB has had to play all three games IN Atlanta so far. SMH)

What a way to come back in the 2nd half. 5-0 baby. Thanks Capers.

Hahahaha. Do you have a WNBA team if the Flyers don’t pan out?
WC, you must have one huge boner right now dont you? Harbaugh is becoming yalls Lombardi. Wow man.
Let me put it this way, I’ll have to do some pants shopping this week.
LOL! I would be excited man, you guys are looking like a really competent team. Nice, solid fundamentals with a good physical mentality. I like that.

Plus, #52 is a monster. :)
Considering we lost to Tampa 21-0 last year and then beat them 48-3 this year, I think Harbaugh has this team headed in a very good direction.

I still don’t know what to think about Alex Smith though. He’s been playing well for us this season, but it’s hard to forget those first six disastrous years or to know whether it’s simply great coaching by Harbaugh that’s making Smith look good.

I still have that dream of getting Luck as well, but don’t know how that’s going to happen now.

Its not going to happen.

Luck to Indy, Manning may be done and start coaching.

Rodgers is some much better than Farve, I’m so happy for GreenBay fans. They don’t have to love that fucking douchebag “gunslinger” anymore.
I am not really going to declare that yet, but giving credit where credit is due, Rogers is a bad ass. Favre is acting kind of childish and arrogant. A few more years and Rogers really can over shadow Favre. He’s got the talent, now it’s just a matter of time.

Fair enough, there is the test of time. But Rogers repeats or wins 2 and he smokes Brett.

I am sure as a coach I would LOVE Rogers much more than Favre. Favre was a fan favorite cause he was a gunslinger, but that could cost a game.

Rogers is a fucking surgeon and a coach’s wet dream.

They didn’t come back, we gave it away!

The first half, we kicked ass. Somebody switch the teams at half time, or put them all on heroin and we got 2 first downs the 2nd half. The dichotomy was incredible. I was stunned to tell the truth. To come out like we did I really thought we could take them. I had no illusions about the fact that the Packs were going to fight like hell and it wasn’t going to be easy, but all the sudden it 180’d. I can’t blame the defense this time. They were on the field almost the entire second half. Matty suddenly started passing in 1rst down instead of running to establish the play-action. We could by a 1st down and we could not stop their 3rd down conversions to save our asses. When we blitzed we were effective, why we didn’t keep blitzing is a mystery.

Yes, I am wounded… For 30 minutes, we were Super Bowl bound. Problem is the game lasts 60.

We both need a sip this morning…

Less than 45 points tonight, and I win my office pool.

It was really, really really hard NOT to lay a mortgage payment on the Jets yesterday. I could have gotten them +9.5 on Thursday and +8 sunday morning. (2 different people)

So, so glad I didn’t after I passed on Thursday.

It was very tough.

Haven’t been betting this year, but I will start my locks of the week after this week, or maybe starting this week.

Oh I agree and I hope he does. Rogers has done everything right. He’s been humble, he never brags, never acted a fool. He always speaks well of Favre and knows his place in GB lore.
As painful as it was to watch him dissect my team on 3rd downs, it was cool to watch a master at work. It’s like getting to 3rd down was where he wanted to be.
I am glad to see we were able to sack him 3 times, though.
Next time, if we play for 60 minutes, we may win.

Rogers is a better listener and isn’t any where near as arrogant. I do like him better.

Yeah, I was in awe at the scond half. Couldn’t tell if GB was that good, or ATL dropped the ball.

Little of both I assume.

Yeah, you can’t go 3 and out 3 times in a row and expect your defense to hold that offense forever. Usually if you get 3 sacks and 2 turnovers you should win.

I will say this - the first half was a smoke show by Atlanta, truly. I’m not quite sure how well you were able to track personnel match-ups and changes last night, but on the broadcast it was very evident Atlanta had a highly scripted offense on the first drive, with cute little match-ups and gizmo plays that had a snowflakes’ chance in hell of maintaining the rest of the game. Capers is an adjustment king.

The drive where Grant fumbled (which is extremely rare) left them with a short field for a very easy score. It was never really even that close of a game after that.

The defense looked to be doing decently, but on second watch it really was also just a smoke show with a multiple pro-bowl left tackle going down early. The back 7 just looked god-awful, and the front 4 looked okay because of edge pressure they were getting off of two ROOKIE tackles!

I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but your team’s first half heroics was a mirage last night. I still think they have the capacity to be a very solid NFC team, but I don’t see them beating out New Orleans, or probably even Tampa Bay without re-committing themselves to Michael Turner.

My response would be this as well. I wouldnt necessarily say Atlanta gave it away.
