NFL 2011 Offseason

Thanks DJ i appreciate it. ill look into that book. part of our curriculum actually is ACLS at the end of classroom time so maybe theyre gonna go back to it. Ive got the 3 leads down, and reading lead II and know all the different rhythms and such so maybe this was just a basic overview and theyll hit it all again in ACLS. honestly im not too concerned, theres a lot of people in my class who want to know everything but i really feel like im on a need to know basis to get through class and as long as im confident in my ability the bulk of learning will come during ride time. if i do get caught up with anything i may send you a pm though.

end of derailment.

THE DAY IS SOOOOO CLOSE!!!

^I think Vince needs a father-figure as much as a qb coach. Someone to teach him about life as well as football. Now I’ve no clue as to the Panthers qb coach is? if it is someone who is willing to take Vince under his wing & nurture him, than I guess that’s an option.
I heard a guy call this morning with that suggestion. ON the field both have the same skill sets, off the field both have questionable issues. Both are not going to be eligible for a rhodes scholarship, you know what I mean.
woah woah woah! Didnt I say pretty much exactly this a few pages ago and was called a racist for it? hahahaha
I never said anything about being black and for the record there was the kid from last year at Florida state that was a rhodes scholar and was black.
I never said anything about him being black in my post either. I just compared Cam to VY and Russell.

you’re talking about Rolle? yeah he was a smart kid and a pretty decent safety at FSU.
I know Greg I was just fucking with you man. Yes I was speaking of Rolle kid is fucking out of this world smart, plans on being a neurosurgeon after he is done with footbal. [/quote

I saw a special where he considered not even playing football because he might lose his steady hands from to many blows to the head.

That is a smart guy, one who has NFL caliber physical skills but considers not using them because his brain could make him more money. rare guy indeed

Wonder how much the draft is changed because teams cant trade players for picks or sign college FA. NFL is fucking up bad and going to lose their anti trust exemption if they dont start getting some transparancy.

Whose going to be watching the first round live on Thursday?

Me too.

If Cam should go first, he will be only the 2nd player in history to win a Heisman, a Nat’l championship, & the first player chosen in draft, all in the same academic yr. The only other time was in 1936.

So things should get very interesting tomorrow night. Some rumors I’ve heard the last few days.

Az dropping back for more picks.
SF taking Gabbert.

Both Green & Jones gone in the first 8 picks.

There is no way SF takes Gabbert, I don’t know what you’ve been reading.

Also, we’re definitely creating a “Live NFL Draft 2011” thread where we can discuss all this epic madness as it goes down.

^Heard it this morning some reporter from the Sac Bee on Mike & Mike.

Yeah, for sure. To my knowledge SF has made it pretty public that they’re pretty much just accepting the fact that they’re going to have another Alex Smith year.

Why, exactly, is dumb-fucking-founding me. I would have flushed that turd after a couple games into his second season.

does SF still have the kid from ohio state on the roster. i want to see him get a chance. he almost beat out joe flacco in baltimore, we all know how that turned out but he must have some skillzzzz

Troy Smith is still listed on the roster. I would like to see him get a shot as well.

Troy smith played in quite a few games last year. He was 73 of 145 for 1,176 yards and 5 td’s.

He played well at times but wasnt very consistent.

Payton Hillis gets the Madden 2012 cover… Pretty sweet

^ i think part of the reason for troy smiths inconsistency could probably be that noone ever knew who was gonna play, none of them ever had a chance to get in a groove. pick one and stick with him.

as for peyton hillis, i think thats pretty sweet. a grind it out guy winning the madden cover good for him. i thought danny woodhead was gonna win it cause of his name for a while there lol. its also funny how ea picked woodhead over brady for the pats. lols for everybody at ea

You Niner fans are to hard on him. How many offensive Coordinaters, head coaches and systems has he had to play under? I honestly think if the Niners had drafted Aaron Rodgers that year he would be considered a bust too.

Playing QB in the NFL is one of the hardest jobs on earth. Period, end of discussion.

There are 32 in the world, of that 5 are ok, 5 are good, 5 are very good and three are elite. The rest of the teams are constantly looking.

Point being some grooming and training are very helpful. Remember Mannings rookie year? etc, etc
