NFL 2011 Offseason

However, is there any NFL team that’s in dire need of a QB? (loaded question to initiate debate)
The Bears need a QB, hope they dont get one but they sure do need one. lol

Any team that has had a stand out Defense for years straight deserve respect, although they are not so great now, and I am by far not a big fan of Cutler’s attitude, Da Bears still deserve respect.
I hate the Bears like a good Packer fan should, but to say they are not so great now? they made it to the NFC championship game and if not for a brutal hit by Raji on Cutler they could have lost in the Superbowl instead. lol

Can anyone name a Quarterback that would be picked before Aaron Rodgers as the best in the league right now?
I cant and hes young. Dam its good to be a Packer fan.

My three favorite Quarterbacks of all time are Rodgers, Favre, Starr. Oh wow all three played for the Pack and all three have rings. Greatest football franchise in history. Yes i think so.

I thought Favre was the greatest quarterback I had ever seen play and then Rodgers took his play to another level last year with very little ground game. Favre is still the GREATEST FOOTBALL PLAYER I have ever seen. Broke every major record as a Packer. He just padded the stats as a Jet and Viking.

Speaking of now that Favre is retired fuck you Viking fans. He is a Packer again and guarantee he will be rocking GREEN AND GOLD into the Hall of Fame.

Recievers are just sick too. Finley is a game changer, best hands and greatest mismatch threat in the league. Greg Jennings will just flat out fuck your DB’s up. Nelson and Driver are studs and over match all nickel and dime corners they face.

Oline is deep and will continue to mature and get better.

Dont even get me started on my favorite defenders: present Matthews(should of been defensive MVP but hey im sure he will take the ring and Troy can have that award), Woodsen(hall of famer), Raji(best nose tackle in the league), Tramon Williams, Sam Shields(best nickel corner in the league). The safties are deep and wicked fast, the linebackers will fuck you up too. WOW.

Past: Reggie White- best defensive player I have ever seen play the game. The 97 superbowl team was his IMO. Sean Jones, Gilbert Brown, Ray Nitszke(never saw play but he is a complete badass), Al Harris(play-off pick vs Seahawks in OT was awesome), .

As for the 2011 draft I dont speculate or worry cause Ted Tompson can pick talent. End of discussion there. Lots of great teams in the NFL but with a little luck and health the current core of Packers will be adding a Lombardi Trophy or three to the Packers Trophy case.
Um, can we hang out sometime? Thank God, another one!

While I’m going to have reserve any talks about Brett Favre for like 10 years down the line (I’ve still got a bad taste in my mouth) I agree with a lot of what you wrote.

Just like any team, though, it’s tough to win twice. If you’ve looked at the schedule for next year… yikes. It’s going to be a HELL of a season. Further, I’m almost apprehensive about what the team is going to be like getting back all their injured players. The team operated on a dynamic that I don’t feel can be replicated, but replaced.

As for draft needs, most mock drafts I’ve seen are predicting that DE from Ohio State going for them, if not the DE out of Wisconsin, but it’s doubtful he’ll make it that long. This is pretty important as we’re definitely not guaranteed Johnny Jolly or Cullen Jenkins next year. We need both, but losing Cullen would really suck. :S
Ahhh SSC made a friend. Just fucking with you, now we have some serious rivalry talk in here Jets, Steelers and Packers now have reps. My Boys I am forever alone.

On a personal note, I have to go out of town on business next Thursday and Friday. FML So WC I will not be able to share in the thread for the 1st two rounds.
Obviously not a Cowboys fan but I love that Stadium. That and Romos a ball player. He grew up in Burlington WI down the road from me. I work with ppl who went to high school with him. Always heard he is respectful guy, class act. He needs to quit fucking all that fine ass and get in the play book. fuck a model or film study. hmmmmmmm

What do official Bears fans think of Cutler? Just curious.

Not cool.

Me and five friends will be doing $1 bets on each pick. Only one person can pick a player per pick, so there will be a list of five that we write down, correct person takes the $5 and if nobody gets it then it pushes just like skins. We’ll also rotate who gets first selection every pick.

BOOM.
i wish i were where you are so i could do that too haha. enjoy that it sounds like a blast.

YEAH BUDDDY!!!

as far as what i think if cutler, i think theres a few posts in here where i state my opinion. try to find them if you cant ill repost lol.

brooks reed to the jets, theres is talk of him being a 1st rounder, i think at the jets pick if hes there its not a reach. i dont know much about the kid so im not gonna judge his play but from what i know that is definitely not a stretch, some are saying he wont even still be there.

DJ sucks at draft predictions so dont even listen to him and his nonsense

Damn that would be cool to do but I don’t have 5 friends. I only have 2 and neither one lives in the city I live in.

I would love to see the statistics that the insurance company worked out on that one. The odds have to be unreal.

Well the same could be said about the tourney brackets but two people got that one correct. But yea talk about winning the lottery.

Draft Week.

Should Carolina just pick up VY, you know Cam 1.0? And take Darius with the first pick.

^A big HELL no to VY. My understanding is the Panthers like Clausen & he just didn’t have the weapons around him (wr/te wise). If they were to bring in A.J. Green, the article goes on to say that it would immediately make Clausen a much better qb.& most definitely would open up their offense.

Though I am not sure that the Panthers would take a wide-out w/the first pick.

Yea Detroit ruined that chance of ever happening. Why not VY? could ressurrect his career.

^I think Vince needs a father-figure as much as a qb coach. Someone to teach him about life as well as football. Now I’ve no clue as to the Panthers qb coach is? if it is someone who is willing to take Vince under his wing & nurture him, than I guess that’s an option.

I heard a guy call this morning with that suggestion. ON the field both have the same skill sets, off the field both have questionable issues. Both are not going to be eligible for a rhodes scholarship, you know what I mean. Also who is going to be cheaper? Who will get on the field first? It may make Clausen a better QB cause he will be pushed.

VY needs a swift ass kicking for being such a douche and to pair up with Ron Artests therapist

I never said anything about being black and for the record there was the kid from last year at Florida state that was a rhodes scholar and was black.

My sister went to school with VY and had him in a class (when he showed up) kid is straight up fucking retarded. He is what gives football players a bad name for athletic ability and being passed through school.

And yes you are a racist. :stuck_out_tongue:
