hahahah im cool with it, as long as someone will talk football with me lol. i think thats the difference, i dont compare him to fairley and dareus to me for some reason that i cant explain they are different. for comparisons sake here, IN NO WAY AM I SAYING HE WILL BE LIKE HIM BUT THIS IS HOW I PICTURE THESE GUYS, paea is more like hlati ngata, while fairley, dareus are more like suh. so one is a power guy, clogs shit up, run stopper makes some plays, while the other two are overall complete guys, will do everything. does that make sense? now it seems like i just called paea a one trick pony, which i may have, but that does not warrant a late round pick, that warrants a certain defense, which oddly enough a lot of teams can use someone like him.

WC- i do not care about patersons wonderlic test, he will be awesome and noone will remember if he ever showed up to class or not.
I was thinking Ngata type guy myself, but where was Ngata taken in the draft? A lot of times that is what dictates where a certain type of guy goes. If owners and GM’s can grab this guy in the 3-4 round and pay him much much less than a “reach” in the second round they will do that. The guy cant play end in a 3-4 or 4-3, he has 0 pay rush ability. NFL centers and guards will eat his lunch on this aspect.

I like the Kick-Off rule change. Why?

Cause my kicker for Dallas can get 100% touchbacks.
Im pretty sure Ngata was taken mid first round, ill look it up later im just taking a break from studying right now. so im still sticking with 2-3 rd for him. i think he could play the end in a 3-4 its not really a pass rushing position and obvsiously hes strong as an ox which is what they like on the outside, to hold it down as the rush LB’s get to the QB. definitely not and end in a 4-3 but more of a run stuffer DT.

kick off rule is stupid solely on the base that now they will start to change other things and ruin football for everyone.

dez bryant says it was his friend that was getting yelled at, dont care, sucks to suck.

look at all these people trying to interrupt our conversations, sheesh!!!

This is the first rule the NFL has made that has helped the defenses. I like it.

Oh yeah, I knew I was forgetting something: FUCK Roger Goodell

^ 12 th pick 6 years ago. However Ngata was a force in college, Paea is not that kind of force.

So I get this feeling that all Steelers fans hate Goodell. Is this because of the fines.

I don’t know about most Steeler fans, but I hated that fucker long before this season started.

not saying hell go that high at all or that he is as good as ngata. just shows that teams will pick for their system regardless. he will not go later than round 3.

I would wear a t-shirt that say’s “fuck godell” lol. Hines Ward rule was a steaming pile of shit.

Nope didnt see that. Thanks Greg for ruining my day.

He has been good so far, where did you see that?
I’m sure by now Deion is taking care of Dez who is one of his baYBEES lol.

The new kickoff rule is lame. It just makes special teams less important than what they are.

Good day to live in South Hampton rds (Va.) Got us a UFL football team w/coach Martin Schottenheimer. Stadium is 10mins from my home. Should be interesting.

& secondly how bout them Rams & Spiders possibly playing each other Sun. aft for a shot at the final 4. Good day to be a Virginian. <–Might be the first time I ever said that in 25yrs.

Thats pretty cool the team will play so close to you, i’m jealous. Curious to know how much game tickets cost print.

Seriously. If they really want to make a big change to improve safety, simply require every player to wear the new concussion helmets that Aaron Rodgers rocks.

Most players in the league choose not to wear it right now because of cosmetic reasons, but I think that would be a much more logical rule than simply changing one part of special teams play.

^Good question JB. The stadium where they are playing is where my kid played his bigger HS games. It holds 6k, but they are in development now to fill it for 14k. I would imagine the patron will be paying for that construction. As soon as I find out, I’ll be sure to post.

As for the Schotty thing, I’m a bit nervous. We’ve already lost Jay Gruden (John’e bro) & Doug Williams. I hope Marty ball sticks. What would be the best win of all, he pulls his boy, Schotty jr down here, so we Jet fans get a real OC. That would Bill Callahan IMO.

If the NFL mandates they all wear these helmets aren’t they liable to a law suit? That’s the way it was explained to me, could be wrong.

Historically Pittsburgh is brutal on special teams so I should be all for the rule change but i’m not. It’s exciting to watch and always give a fan hope that your team can make a comeback quick. Plus they have what looks to be a good returner on their roster.

Pretty soon they’ll be talking about giving the offence one additional player to “open up the field more”.

Can you tell I’m still bitter about the SB? lol. Every fuckin’ day it bugs me.

Probably chump change to Jerry anyway, I wonder who the other 4 teams were?
Steel Nation:

This needs to happen. hard and without lube.

I truly do hate the new kickoff rule, especially for us in chicago the field position we would get is what won us games. also ST is the most exciting part of the game, at any moment the game can turn, but why would the NO FUN LEAGUE do that!!! at least they havent found a way to screw with the punt units we still have that

I think the kick off rule is really going to change rosters up a bit. Teams arent going to need as many “special teams” guys and will probably be able to keep another OL guy or two on the roster… that could possibly help quite a few times.

I dont like the rule but its not getting rid of ST. The more exciting special teams plays are punt returns anyway.
