in regards to the talking without a union thing. this is just something i thought of while reading this and it may not be plausible in any way shape or form, but… what if D. smith and the league continue to talk, as we all know even though there is not a “union” there will still be talks amongst the players. so what if smith and the league are talking off the record and he relays to some players they may have something good, then the players become a union again and accept the deal? is the even legal? possible?
I am at this moment listening to Moving the Chains on Serius sat online. D Smith and the NFL are both on record saying they will not even “talk” until after the first court date in April.

Also now they are trying to get the draft prospects to NOT go to New York for the draft?
way to shoot down a glimmer of hope!!!

i think thats pretty shitty to do to the draft prospects, i mean theyre still gonna draft them. unless they cancel the draft theres no need to ruin these kids experiences.

Cant cancel the draft I had called about that 8 months ago. That has already been agreed upon. Sorry man the only highlight in this thread now is smiling’s Avi. All else is doom and gloom.

…the fuck?

If there is no football next year (and I pray that there will be) we should as a group pick a different sport to follow.

I nominate sumo wrestling or rugby.

On a more serious note, if the draft gets messed with AT ALL this year, I am going to flip out. LIKE SERIOUSLY FLIP OUT.

agreed. theyve already screwed us enough by not giving us our weekend of beer and bbq, they better not ruin it anymore for us. because obviously this whole thing is about us.

College Football is all I will follow. The draft will happen, they will pump it up as much as possible.

The more I actually hear about what the owners had proposed it is really making the players look bad. The players had no interest in the proposal they had actually filed to decertify before they even received the proposal. Yes the owners wanted more money than what the players really want to give up, BUT the owners gave back to the players a TON of what they wanted. Like lifetime medical for vested players, 16 games with less OTA’s, etc.

LOL, modern-day slavery? C’mon AP!

^ Wow that is pretty ignorant. I guess that is what you get with an education from OU. Just in case PMPM comes into this thread.

These players crack me up. You know what modern day slavery is AP? GO to China and visit the factory where your clothes were made…gimmie a break I didn’t know slaves made millions why the heck did Lincoln ever ruin that gig?

AP must have been hangin out with Albert Hansworth this off season.

It has been pretty funny to read how excited to the commissioner of the UFL has been. I can just imagine him alone in his office, disco dancing to the news of the lockout.

What a pipe dream.

I think we should just move forward as if everything is fine, and discuss the draft and free agency as normal. Deal?

That sounds like a plan to me.

boom check out this guy

Okay maybe I am just being a dick, but I know I make less than Mayo and I have a full gym in my garage.

You mean to tell me he is fucking working out on a Bow flex. MF had better be getting a paycheck for saying stupid shit like that.

These guys never make it big in the NFL, you would think they would. Still guy is a beast and has a future in PL’ing for sure.

oh yeah i agree completely with that statement, just thought on the weightlifting site that would be appreciated lol. also all the hoopla about paea breaking it then, it gets broken by this guy haha

^ yea and 3 years from now all but their family will wonder who the hell is Paea

hahahah paea at least has some pretty solid potential to go with his strength. late first-second round pick. although some are saying hell drop to the 3rd.

I agree he seemed to me to have the potential of a nose guard, 0 technique guy. But he needs to put on about 25 pounds. He will go in the 4th or later.

Right now the coaches cant even talk free agency or do OTA’s. All they are doing is watching college football game film. This will be the most analyzed rookie class of all time. This will not go down as a normal draft, there will be more unexpected picks than ever before. My opinion.

4th rd or later, i do not see that. I say rd 2-3, because he has knee issues. Hes a big body with some athleticism which is coveted. he could play an end in a 3-4 or a under tackle in a 4-3. I agree this will be a screwy draft.

do any of you guys read mock drafts? I love them just for the fact that it gives me something to look forward too. this site, www.walterfootball.com ive been reading for years. they guy seems to know his stuff and post info about all of the pro days and things like that, check it out if youre interested in that kinda stuff.
