You still disagree with me after this weekend. Screw the Jets, but i’d take Sanchez as my QB in a playoff game over Flacco.
I’d wait to see how Sanchez fares versus the Steelers next week. The Ravens success is driven largely by Ray Rice, not necessarily being dominant, but being able to consistently move the ball. Even more so with the Jets. I dont see them faring much better against that Steelers d.
The Jets had a pretty good run game against them last month. It was rt around 100 yds & Sanchez played well. Having Polamalu back is kind of a big deal. Though I didn’t see him do much Sat. He’s def. a difference maker, but doesn’t tackle fundamentally.

Jets def. again will have to play near flawless to win. Confidence is soaring, first Manning & than Bieber. Hopefully it doesn’t go to their heads.

I don’t know what happened to the falcons but being in atl and watching that game was pitiful. after the 1st turnover and touchdown drive the falcons couldn’t muster anything that resembled an offense… then at the end of the 3rd quarter abraham decided to mock rodgers… so rodgers drove the ball down the field and ran in a td…

talk about complete melt down… i just thought the falcons would’ve been ready for the pack after a full week’s rest… Right now i think the falcons need a complementary receiver to roddy… jenkins, douglas, and gonzales is not the answer…
I’m starting to wonder if they can win a big time game. They lost to the Saints on MNF because they fell apart, they lost this game(partly) because they fell apart the playoff game 2 years ago fell apart. Is Mike Smith the next Marty Schotenheimer(sp)? The Pack may be a better team regardless but that team that played Saturday was NOT the same Falcons team that went 13-3, they did everything they don’t do, turn overs, penalties, 3 and outs, Ryan looked panicked at times (both picks and the fumble). Starting to wonder if they will ever get over the hump.

i wouldn’t say dominating… ravens turnovers helped the steelers a bunch in the second half… and in 2 quarters the steelers let the ravens score 21 unanswered… also polamalu (IMO) has been quiet (mistackles, no ints, no big hits, no strips)… i hope he rebounds against the jets ala cincy… he’s prolli one of my fave players…
The absence of stats dont tell the whole story. While I aint saying he isnt a ball hawk, the Steelers havent made it their living to create TO’s like so many teams are doing now. They play hard nosed physical d, and let ben and the running game grind out a few scores witha combo of solid running and a few big plays. You hardly saw Polamalu in the Ravens game he was so far back in coberage. How many Ravens REc. had big games. How many plays over 15 yards did they have. Sounds like dominance to me.
One of my fave players NNamdi, has had his virtually had his name dissapear. Why? Because he is SO dominant that the ball rarely even gets thrown to his side of the field.

Obviously Harrison is shitting on people, no discussion there.
To me, Ben was the one who really didnt do much in that game. But how impressive is he even when he isnt doing “much”. The guy just makes plays happen.

yea i think the team needs to realize whether the game is big or not they need to execute… they basically broke down in every aspect they could outside of the first turnover they forced during the GB drive… i figured after that the momentum would’ve stayed with them at least for a bit…

Atlanta is still young, but the foundation is in place. They need an explosive player on Offense, they have grinders which is good if you have a lead. They need another pash rusher and depth on defensive line. Smith is building a good team, this just was not your year. Look what you have coming back next year with more experience.

Troy will bounce back this week. I agree with the one guy here, Troy goes for the missle shot a little too often,

Steeler special teams is scareing the shit out of me again. I hope BS is a slow healer but after seeing the mugger Cromartie run a few back I worry and for good reason,

I’m in the same boat as Matty, it’s all gravy now, Pittsburgh beat the ratbirds in the playoffs, huge,

Pittsburgh O-Line is so bad their good lol. Pouncy was a rock, what a draft pick!

Don’t expect to see either coach provide BBM. Why bother at this point,

Expect to see Hines Ward and Bart Scott providing BBM,

Sanchez will have to be great and BB will have to be lucky,

My nerves are going to be shot by the end of the week lol.

I can’t not comment, the Pats just didn’t show up to play last night.

After getting picked on that first drive, it’s as if they didn’t want to play after that.

I still do not like the Jets, or any time that runs their mouth; but they played well last night.

My only hope is that one of the Steelers puts Sanchez in the dirt next week.

I too; as a Pats fan, am pumped about the future. Hopefully the defense continues to gel and we become a defensive team once again.

^ Thats why I never talk shit about my team even during the SB years the Cowboys were winning. People forget that they are all pros and the margin of difference is smaller than people think. It was a good game, and one team one and one lost. Now you can be like me and look forward to the draft and look forward to next season.

Why is all you Pats fan haven’t said anything about the classless Branch move towards Rex last night? I didn’t see any shit from any Jets player during the game. Yet I saw at least 3 shithead moves by the Patz. First Mankins, than Wolfork, than Branch…

All you Patz fans outside of Beans are nothing but whiners. Every guy that posts in here & has a team does not come in here & ball break the opponents game. Not one of you are tall enough to post that you got beat. I hate to tell you guys this, but the Patz did show up & did they lose.

After all his damn playoff wins, the name Sanchize is gonna stick around

Wow you guys hav totally dismissed the Bears here? Im not the most knowledgeable guy by far, but they beat the Pack early on when they couldnt pull it together, then lost by a score in week 16 in the 4th when they had nothing to gain and GB had their playoffs on the line.

They beat the Jets a few short weeks ago as well. The only team they havent directly demonstrated that they are better than is the Steelers.

Is it just because the Seahawks suck, or Cutler being a misanthrope?

When the offensive line shows up to play they can (and often did) beat any of those teams.

As another disclaimer, I never played fantasy and got into appreciating the league as a whole, I really only like the Bears, only really follow the Bears, and wouldnt piss on a Packer fan if he was on fire, so yes, I know I have tunnel vision but I like it better that way. Its like the only part of my life I allow myself to be an unreasonable partisan fascist. Go Bears.

That said, I admit the Packers were frighteningly good against ATL, just hope our d line can get some good hits and demoralizing turnovers early and take the wind out of rodgers sails…

I like the Bears in a low scoring game, in a shoot out not so much.

Milk, Welcome, where have you been all year. Nobody has been hating on the Bears, there just has not been but one Bears fan that has joined the NFL thread. Peanut Butter Andy loves to drop in talk shit and jump out.

Once again…there is nothing last night that showed that the pats didnt show up…the Jets confused brady and covered their receivers like white on rice period…there was no bs calls they got beat plain and simple.

Do not give me that shit that the pats lost…the pats got beat…period. I was man enough to say the jets were paper tigers when they lose 45-3…be man enough to admit you got beat down yesterday. For bellidick to attempt a fake punt shows how frustrated they were.

Sanchez played very well, their oline didnt allow sanchez to get touched. That was a big key…Sanchez’ throw to Edwards to set up the short pass to LT, shows how good sanchez could be. And no…im not going to say sanchez is great…but he will be a very good QB. 4-1 in playoff games and while not the main reason they he is one of the reasons. And yes he played better then an already legendary QB in Brady last night.

Oh yeah Ill take sanchez over flacco.

I could give shit less about the Steelers the Bears the Falcons or the hawks either.

Make sure when you guys talk about how much you hate Ryan too mention how he paid bellidick even more accolades last night, he did show great respect.

Sanchez 2 years in the league and has 2 wins against two of the greatest QBs of all time.

I Shaun Ellis and Calvin Pace put that big doofus Ben Roethelsburger face first in the turf.

Pitt is not heads and shoulders better than the Jets…in fact I think its as evenly matched as you can get.

Oh and we need to stop calling Matt Ryan Matty Ice…let him win a playoff game first.

That Bears Pack game is gonna be a classic…

bears have a good def but their offense is suspect… soemtimes they show up and drop a ton of pts and sometimes they struggle to win the game…

i guess its cliche but the packers are starting to peak right now… def is clicking on all cylinders and rodgers seems like he can throw 5 td passes a game even if its raining mollases… if cutler struggles early then the game is pretty much over… also remember in that first game against the pack, the packers were dealing with injuries themselves… also the pack has something that resembles a running game now too

^ Agreed Matty. Thd AFC and NFC championship games you really couldnt ask for a better match up of games for how this year played out. Really is a toss up on both games. Cannot FUCKING wait. Only 3 more games for this season (I dont count ProBowl) and then 7 months of pure boring as HELL.

yea srsly… wish training camp started shortly after the season was over…

Oh yea and Favre retired again. Big surprise. Which team will he play for next year. LOL
