Yea FAIL on that prediction. The Colts specials teams and defense pretty much gave that one away at the end though. Props to Rex for backing up his talk.

wow what a way to kickoff wild card weekend, both underdogs taking it.
Something did seem up with Sanchez’s arm, he couldnt bring his throws down to save his life.

So, if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl, however improbable it may be, will people start crying the playoffs suck and want a BCS style championship?

Sanchez’s arm is fine. What isn’t though, is his happy feet & the fact he still can’t read his progressions. I’ve said it along he isn’t anything special. Game should’ve never been that close. He blew a shit-load of passes.

I give Cro a pass, due to his kick returns. But he sucked donkey dick on the corner. I really do hope Rex tore his ass up at halftime.

Running game, O line & def. played a hell’uva 2nd half. I liked the fact Rex swallowed some pride & played safe def. most of the night.

No way we win at NE next week if Sanchez plays anything like he did last night. I’d tell Brunell to keep his arm warm.

It took a lot of Smithwicks last night…

Damn, what a story. May that little dude RIP

Pats v. Jets…

Jesus, let the indigestion and premature balding begin.

Fuck it’s gonna be a long week. Thank god Rex already talked shit about Brady. Now lets hope he runs his fat mouth about the D too.

As much as I hate the Jets I have to give them props. That was a quality win. Colts are weak this year but still have Manning who walked off the field leading. Nice time out Caldwell.

The best part of “the run” was when Lynch stopped and threw #22 to the ground with one arm and then proceeded to the endzone, awesome!

Let’s go Pack!

Manning is a true class act, he really is…but even he was like coach WTF!

By my own admission Sanchez played shitty, obvious overthrown touch passes, high balls and missed a few wide open receivers.

But like Ive said repeatdely for the Jets to have a chance of winning they have to be balanced HOWEVER not in this game gotta keep manning off the field and they did that in the second half.

I hope Ryan drinks a tall boy of STFU this week, but it aint gonna happen.

Hey beans:

Section Upper Corner 321, (upper corner) row 7, Im thinking of going!

I was just dropping in to give Sanchez props (since I’ve hated on him a little thus far), so I laughed a little when I saw this.

It might not have been beautiful, but at the end of the game when everything was on the line, he calmed down the team and made the throws that he needed to. He moved the sticks, avoided a turnover, and put them into a position to win the game. That’s as much as you could ask for from the QB position, especially from such a young player.

Such an effort reminds me a little of Big Ben (although Ben is an elite QB and Sanchez is nowhere close). Never a pretty player, but leads his team and just gets it done, plain and simple.

This is as simple as it can get…

Sanchez can lose a game for you but can’t win it. I know that’s harsh, but after seeing him this yr his inconsistencies are mind boggling. I think much of the same game plan next week. Keep Brady off of the field. Continue to pound LT

I really don’t care for Sanchez, but I don’t know how you can say that after what he did on the final drive last night.

Nnamdi Asomugha just became a free agent because of a void clause in his contract that activated as a result of him failing to reach his performance based bonuses. The clause also states that the team cannot use the franchise tag on him in this case.

Wow.

Who do you think will go after this insanely hot commodity?

I live in Manhattan now and I root 100% against the Jets and Giants especially since my Redskins are pretty awful every year. I have to say, Jets football is so fucking boring to watch. Maybe from the Jets perspective those 10 minute drives were great but wow I really thought they were mind numbingly dull.

This week is going to be awful, every article/espn show is going to talking about how manning “choked” again and how Sanchez may not have the stats but “just knows how to win” which I think is BS, Brunell could have done the same thing Sanchez did that entire game.

Also, what is wrong with Caldwell… why would you waste a time out and give them another shot? It really seemed like the Jets were ready to just take the long field goal. At least the time out could have been used to ice the kicker or something…Loved Manning’s WTF reaction to that.

Tell you how I can say it. If he hadn’t missed 3-4 td throws he never would’ve been put into that position. Even the last throw to Edwards was off the mark a bit.

Sanchez is playing next Sunday, Manning is not. It’s that simple.

Who are people taking in todays games?

Ravens and Packers

I think the Ravens are a very dangerous team coupled with the fact that the Chiefs played a weak schedule and still managed to rack up 6 losses. Ravens should be able to pound the ball and stop the run.

Packers are probably the last team I’d want to face right now. They survived a tough schedule, Rogers is looking like another Peyton Manning and he’s now starting to get a run game. These guys can beat anyone.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Ravens and the Packers in the super bowl. I’m a Ravens fan though so it could be wishful thinking.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but for all of those who talk shit about the NFC West:

Since 2005, the NFC West is 9-5 in the postseason, the best winning % in the NFL.
AFC North 10-6
AFC East 8-7
NFC South 6-7
NFC East 9-11
AFC South 7-9
NFC North 4-6
AFC West 4-6

Manning wasnt put into a position to choke, I doubt you will see anything like that. Do me a favor put on 660 WFAN at around 1pm and I doubt you will hear any one give sanchez any type of props. Sanchez is never given credit and when it happens its always a big “but” most talking heads are anti-sanchez as are most people outside of Jet fans.

Again Sanchez did not have a good game, this is his second fucking year in the league, jeez for the first time in I dont how long the jets have won playoff games in back to back years.

Instead of harping on Sanchez playing bad in a game that they WON how about for once you jet haters give credit for what they did right such as …

Stop the colts on 3rd and short a shit ton of times.

LT looking young again when a few people on this board said the Chargers are laughing at the Jets right now.

Nick fucking Folk hitting a game winner.

Cromartie who had an shit game, but came through on special teams.

Rex Ryan for changing his defensive philosophy and doing what is right for the win

Mark Sanchez for the last game winning drive completing passes to get folk a chip shot…

From the fucking BOSTON HERALD

"What made the connection so impressive was that Sanchez selected the play. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer told him, “Call whatever you want,” Sanchez recalled through glassed-over eyes and exhausted lungs. “We talked about a lot of different plays, but he had an idea of what plays I liked. … We talked about a couple. I wasnâ??t thrilled with the first one. But he has confidence in me, and like a pitcher when you donâ??t like the call, you shake it off.”

2 years in the league 3 playoff wins (yes I know the wins werent because of him but he played a major part) and still the degrading of sanchez will not cease.
