NFL 2010 X 3

does beating the Steelers at home count as a quality win? I would think it does. Tough fucking game, the way football should be played, had a little of everything. Off to Chicago.

thanks beans

im gonna have to bump the “jets” thread

Well this is why all the bullshit talk of “they haven’t beat a team with a winning record” and “well team X beat team Y” is stupid and not worth it.

Fucking Jets looked good today and beat up a good team in the Steelers. Offense ran on the D, and the Jet D played pretty fucking well.

Pretty much everyone but Print wrote them off, media included. And look who just stuffed Pittsburgh. But I guess they were an overrated team too? lol.

Any given Sunday any team can win. And a good defense makes winning much easier.[/quote]

I didn’t write them off. I called the win.

Very well said.

Jets looked like they had some of the swagger back tonight, and Tomlinson like he had a bit more spring in his step. I loved the game plan from Schotty aswell, going for short, high percentage completions that will build confidence for Sanchez whilst also creating some space for Greene and LT to run. Spiced it up a bit aswell with calls like the direct snap to Tomlinson.

All in all a fantastic game, don’t think I’ve ever felt so involved as on that last throw with 0:02 on the clock. If it had been a TD I’d still have felt proud of the jets but damn I’d have been heartbroken.

I guess people will say the Jets only scored as much as they did because Polamalu was out. Haters gonna hate I say to the. You can only beat the 11 men on the field, and the jets did a great job tonight.

EPIC

whoever says that is a straightup douche…It isnt like we had our full team out their either. (i.e. Damien Woody and Jim Leonard)

Jets are still gay.

And you know what’s even more awesome. I didn’t actually put any money on Pitts, peanuts.

I put most of my weekly limit on Philly and couple bones on Zona

FINALLY! The O line decided to show some nastiness. That was key to the game. They were much more aggressive than they’ve been all yr. Schotty had a pretty decent game plan, though I think he leaves the run to early. LT & Greene ran w/power. Mark played pretty smart. Braylon deserves a game ball.

The def. still needs work. We just don’t have a dominant pass rusher & it showed today. WTF was up w/Cro? He played horribly. Special teams played great all game. Downing the ball inside the 20 a few times was just as important as Smiths opening run back.

Biggest acquisition in my eyes is w/out question is Brunell. His help w/the mental edge w/Sanchez is so much bigger than any of us know. I think it showed today.

Anyhow I have one last word…

Y.I.P.P.E.E.

Great games today. Weird that even with the Pitt loss and Ravens win, looks like Pitt is going to take the division.

Steve Weatherford proved how important it is to have a good punter. Also he was killed all week, Schotty called an excellent game.

Yeah I know. You’re a good egg, lol. You take all ball busting in stride.

Yeah, even if Burger tosses a TD there, it is a moral “win” for the Jets

I can barely contain my joy for that 4th quarter.

All I wanted was a cover, lol. But if the Giants were gonna blow that lead they should lose outright.

Peanut Butter? Do you even have a team? You must be into scat play w/all the shit you spew.

If you’re a Bears fan, next week should be interesting watching the gays play your team.

beans im a little offended…where did I not stand by my team in any post? Recognizing defeat and their faults does not equate writing them off…their aint a bigger sanchez fan out there.

Probably a Bills fan or Bengals.

^That’s true. Matty has hung in there w/Sanchez where I have waffeled on him a bit. I’m still not 100% committed to him. Now whether that is because of his play or Schotty’s play calling has yet to be decided.

Hats off to the Jets on that one, better team won today. Gutsy calls on O and hard running. That play fake by Sanchez was a thing of beuty. Why don’t they use Green more? he seems like a tough guy to tackle and shoud be putting up better numbers.

The Pittsburgh O-Line was better than I expected. They moved the ball in spite of their offensive co-ordinator. On their own two and he calls for the guard to pull WTF! He’s gone after this year anyway and good ridance. Special teams killed them again, punter was awfull.

Roger Godell is Satan. You can call me a homer and I’m not saying the Jets didn’t deserve the win but I thought the refs fucked the Steelers again. I thought there was some pass interferance non-calls against the jets secondary big time, Wallace was getting held by Cro large at the start and that hit by Ryan Clarke was clean.

Mike Tomlin needs to rip the officiating at his presser, he won’t but fuck sakes, fuck the fine and show a pulse.

It’s all just a tease though, Pittburgh has too many guys hurt period to go deep in the playoffs. They can’t beat a high scoring team with their anemic redzone offence.

God dammit I’m bitter lol.

lol I feel better thanks beans and print!

FTR I am very worried about Woody being out for the year (possibly) and the Jets HAVE to figure out a way to cover TEs. FTR that was a clean call against clark, but there was a BS holding call against Slauson in the beginning of the game.
