Somthing that needs pointed out. Those calorie calculators are just a rough estimation. They are a starting point. Which you will find will be needed adjusted based on several factors.
I wouldn’t stress at this point. Eyeball it and realize you’re probably underestimating by 25%. Certainly not worth any stress at home until you’re trying to get stage lean.
I think this is sooo important. Not everybody is wanting to step on stage. Many just want to be healthy and look better naked. No need to over complicate it.
did you eat the entire pizza?
still have the box? what brand, which kind (toppings) pic would be even better.
I don’t. Just an own brand cheese and tomato. Thin crust. I say 600 calories because similar ones have been that, could be more or less.
did off autocorrect to own?
what brand? grocery store, which one?
I would suggest Dr. Darden’s “KILLING FAT” book
it works if you follow it
Just checked, it was Asda, a whole one is 800 calories
There’s been some great advice already and very little else to add, but I want to address this elephant in the room. Please read what you wrote here out loud to yourself.
Before you can make real progress, you have to be honest with yourself. I understand feeling pressure to say you eat healthy on a forum, but it is not productive to tell yourself that your diet currently is healthy.
I think this can’t be overstated. We see it all the time, and nearly all of us have been guilty at one point or another: my diet is perfectly on-point… except my [nightly ice cream, weekly case of beer, pizza with the kids, pick a vice].”
We kind of bastardize the 90% compliance rule of thumb and blow our calories every day/ weekly average every week with this kind of stuff.
No is understand. I’m happy to be honest. I meant it more as in I don’t just eat pizza, chocolate and drink coke. As said above it’s the extra stuff that messes it up. I’ve always struggled cutting out the extras, or controlling how much I eat of them.
Well then what are usual days like? What are they calorically? You said "That wouldn’t give a very good picture " for the day you posted so, what is a normal day? The sample day you posted is under 1500 calories. No way that is normal.
You are not maintaining that body by “snacking” on extras. You are overeating and most likely binging on junk.
I don’t know, I don’t track. I just know that I usually eat more, bigger meals than that day.
I can binge but it’s not a regular thing. I don’t even mean once a week. I know I just I don’t track so obviously I’m guessing but I would say the cause of it is having meals that are too large/too full of high calorie things, cheese etc. coupled with snacking on crappy stuff.
