Retest results today: total test 661.1 (348-1197)
Free test 12.1 (8.7-25.1)
LH: 7.8 (1.7-8.6)
SHBG: 46.9 (16.5)
STATs: About to turn 31 years old. Never cycled steroids. Libido inconsistent. BMP all values within a healthy range, BP excellent.
We were concerned about my low levels, so he ordered a retest after first results. I drastically increased my saturated fats. Upped my ZMA dose. Decreased masturbation. Went from sex or masturbation once per day to once every 3.
He (the Doctor)says it is odd to achieve that large of a difference between readings. Said my total test is average for my age, but my SHBG is very high and free test pretty low. He said that elevated estrogen can elevate SHBG, but estrogen was not tested for. He said that with two readings like i had my levels are probably fluctuating somewhere in the middle. So I guess I am ok for now, but a lil concerned about the low free test (which is the only testosterone that is useful. So I guess considering the low free test, I am pretty low for my age. I know a full picture cannot be painted without a full hormone panel, but just thought i would share.
Does this large of a difference seem out of the ordinary? Also, should I be concerned about my low end free test? My libido like i said could be better (but i guess it could always be). Im in good shape, train heavy, and am pretty strong. 5’10 195lbs. At 31, my free test is pretty low. Thoughts? Flame away
