New TRT - Beginner Questions

What’s going on everyone. I’m 27 and all my labs showed low t when I saw my Dr. tried Clomid with no results, then Gonaderelin alone with no results. Dr. now has me on Testosterone Cypionate/Propionate 160/40 mg/mL with Gonaderelin as well. I pin T 2 times a week at .35 mL. My question is how do I figure out the amount of mg of T I’m taking each week being that it’s a blend like that. I don’t math very well. I know the Gonaderelin is 1/1 so at .2 mL 3 times weekly I’m at 600mg of Gonaderelin a week. TIA

More information,

First lab showed 208 Testosterone
Second lab after just Clomid 448
Third lab just Gonaderelin 294

Also take Anastrozol on pin days.

Pinned the first time on Feb 16th and have done 6 total pins.

Mood, mental health, libido, and overall quality of life has drastically improved.

Gym lifts have gone up a good amount.

Weight - it has been a little more than 3 weeks now and I have gained roughly 13 lbs. my diet is cleaner than it was before I started. But I have also started hitting the gym a lot harder. Is the weight gain a concern?

The Gonadorelin is a scam, it doesn’t affect any meaningful change. A lot of clinics switched over to using Gonadorelin after compounded hCG got banned, it’s practically worthless.

The reason he said he wants it to be used is that me and my wife are wanting more kids and it’s supposed to help maintain fertility and prevent any shrinkage of the boys. Based on my labs that I posted in my comment, It was very apparent that it did less than the Clomid.

I’m sure your doctors intentions are good, but the Gonadorelin is so ineffective at stimulating the testis. I have never heard of Gonadorelin doing anything for testicle shrinkage.

Clomid is way better for fertility, possibly even while on TRT.

Thank you! I’ll talk to him about doing that instead at our next appointment.

Is this a cash pay clinic?

Not sure what that means, but it’s a Men’s Health clinic that specializes in getting men’s hormones right.

Gonadorelin will not work as intended for secondary hypogonadism, which is a pituitary failure.

Most of the Low-T or windmill TRT clinics have no clue how to manage male hormones.

Is there a better route to go for treatment? My General Practitioner?

That route would be far worse, welcome to the world of male hormones, where doctors know more about how to transition a male into a women or vice versa, managing male, female hormones is a new area of medicine.

A small percentage actually get it right.

The best clinic in the US as far as I’m concerned is Defy Medical.

I have no idea how to work the quote feature.

I just saw the defy medical. Do they work with out of state patients?

Yeah I would definitely go to a urologist. I’m also 27. I’ve gone to a clinic, endocrinologist and urologist, and the urologist I have now is by far the best treatment I’ve gotten. I get my hcg and trt from urology, and insurance covers the trt. It seems like they should cover you too because your levels are truly hypogonadal so you don’t need to go a clinic. Also, I’m not sure why the have you on a testosterone blend. A standard doc will just put you on test cyp, which works great.

Just go to your GP and show him your bloodwork and ask for a referral to urology

Highlight the desired sentence, then a quote tab appears below.

Yes, Defy is a walk-in clinic as well as a telemedicine clinic. I have used them repeatedly and live in California. They have real doctors, endocrinologists that can run circles around most mainstream doctors.

Dr. Saya talked about stuff my doctors never talked about, it was shocking to me the lack of care and passion nowadays from mainstream medicine.

Yeah, spot on with that statement.

I have primary hypogonadism caused by damage from surgical complications from a on my nuts. Yes, they are dead.
All the records of the surgery, surgical follow up and testing bloodwork (multiple), and final diagnosis was sent to my endocrinology consult for hormone therapy. My surgeon, urologist, and endocrinologist were all in the same medical group. They were all named as such, managed by and run by the same hospital, and the electronic medical chart system is the same shared by all.
In order for me to be considered for hormone therapy, I had to have three full examations by the doctor. After each exam I needed full labs done and the sub level T results had to be reflected on each test result.

As I sat there in the waiting room each time, I saw a ton of cross gender (FtM, Mtf) patients filter in and out receiving treatment from the same doctor. In/out, no trips back into the lab area.

I sat there and couldn’t understand why. You can decide to completely change your sex using hormones, and its considered necessary treatment. But as a man, if I want to slightly alter my levels up, it’s considered by many to be wrong and dangerous. I mean, its not like I’m going to permanently alter anything? My clitoris isn’t going to grow two inches or anything!?!

Alright, jesus, negative flashback…

This is what I’m hoping for tbh. The clinic charges $250 a month for the works. Comes with all my supplies, meds, and labs. But $250 a month is steep especially since I got laid off in January and my new job was a paycut.
