Because there’s no point in wrecking his metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and increasing his adipose tissue. Eating clean consists of eating real food - a concept that is important to anyone who desires an impressive physique (particularly those who are doing it for the purpose of vanity - nothing wrong with that).
Packing on a lot of quality mass or ‘bulking’ is a difficult endeavor (especially for a “skinny” 19 year old) which requires a good amount of experience and should not be pursued at the advice of an individual who was never a 19 year old boy.

Mate thats what I want to hear. its so easy for everyone to say “Eat more food, Deadlift, Squat!”, its much more interesting when somebody (like yourself) at least mentions the science involved.
I’ve gradually increased my intake and im up past 2000 everyday, most days over 2500. im just getting me head around all the best ways to go about getting good food for less money!

Peanut butter is great and delicious bulking food. I refrigerate it and eat it out of the jar with a spoon. Maybe UK’s peanut butters are made differently (or more naturally) than American?

ha thats pretty funny. id recommend cashew butter or almond butter but its kind of expensive.
I’m about the same height/weight going for 3,000+ calories a day. If you like avacados they can be calorie dense especially if you add some oil and vinegar to them.
Oatmeal and protein powder also can make for a cheap, calorie dense meal although the cleanliness of oatmeal seems to be debatable these days.
