My test levels were at 200 so I decided to start hrt I’m currently taking 175 mgs of test in two shots Once a week. 250 iu hcg eod and 2iu gh everyday and 0.25 arimidex twice a week. I’m around 5 weeks in and just got my first labs back. My test is at 650 and my e2 levels are at 38. Curious if anyone has any tips on potential adjustments to make my GP isn’t the most knowledgeable.
Also, I’m getting some nipple sensitivity is that normal when first starting? My e2 doesn’t seem high enough to be causing gyno symptoms. My e2 was pretty close to that before.
You say you are experiencing some nipple sensitivity around week 5, perfectly normal and most likely transient, I always get nipple burning in 5 weeks when on new protocols which completely resolves after 6 weeks.
You did labs prematurally, stay the course as levels will be higher in another week. Do labs after 8 weeks because things are still working themselves out at 6-8 weeks.
Nipple sensitivity doesn’t mean gyno (I’ve had gyno twice). It’s just part of the body going through changes in the beginning. You should probably get more thorough labs in a couple weeks. Check discountlabs website and search for TRT labs, make a list and bring to your doc to test.
Edit:
Thanks guys,
Yeah, same labs I pulled from labs md. I knew I got them a little early, but my nipples got a little sensitive and I panicked and wanted labs to make sure my e2 wasn’t sky high. Feeling great otherwise.
Gyno is not common on any of these forums, I see one case every 6 months or maybe two cases a year. Gyno is when there is an imbalance of testosterone, estrogen, DHT and prolactin.
Actually since stopping TRT in April, my nipples are pointer because my TT is 97-146 and estrogen is very low. More testosterone and estrogen flatten my nipples.
So, six of one, half-dozen of the other? LOL.
