Perhaps I am the only one who can’t quite grasp how any supplement could cost $200 a tub. That is unless I am getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 15lbs. I am awaiting some ingredient list.
Over my 2 years of visiting T-Nation (this is a new name, my other one got jacked up), I’ve come to trust Biotest as far as their supplements are concerned. After reading Bartl’s clinic thread where he takes twice the recommended dose, I’m assuming that it’s something like NO-Xplode except (1) legit, (2) healthy and good for you, and (3) not made of caffeine and products that don’t exist (lol @ CEM3 lawsuit).
Definitely looking forward to seeing what Workout Fuel is. One of these days I’m gonna have to buy some of this Biotest stuff…

Nope, you’re not the only one, I’m exceptionally intrigued (and admittedly a bit perplexed) as to what goes in a $200 supplement.

i doubt it is anything like NO-xplode with the exception of a ‘pump’, though with one, it is a fleeting trick due to arginine, while the other is due to blood being pumped full of nutrients. i totally agree with the 3 qualifiers and am also looking forward to purchase.

Not to hijack, but…you trust Biotest supplements, yet you have never purchased any? How can that be?
As far as the SURGE Workout Fuel, bring it on.
Second that, I love Biotest based on experience!
I was getting ready to order a bottle of root beer flavored Surge and now they’re planning on a souped up version
I don’t think I’d ever buy but if I ever get to the levels some of these other members are at I would definitely consider this…if it works(knowing Biotest it’ll pass with flying colors!)

I don’t think it’ll be replacing Surge post-workout recovery. I tend to think it’ll be more like a souped up version of Gatorade.

It’s definitely nothing like Gatorade.

You’re right, Gatorade doesn’t allow you to train as hard and as long as you want without over-training.

Ah, sorry, let me clarify. I’ve gotten Surge before from my cousin but I’ve never used more than what was given to me and I’ve never actually purchased the supplements myself.
train as long as you want? Umm, ever heard of CNS fatigue? Your muscles can already stand way more training than your CNS.

This new supplement that keeps getting kicked around this site… will it ever be available to T-Nation users? I’ve read that it would be too expensive but, why not let the consumer decide that? We keep getting teased about how great it is but if you’re not going to sell it then, why mention it?
Just curious. Will there ever be a full description of what exactly this new product does?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry about that.
There will be a formal product launch.
And yes, it’ll be pretty expensive. We don’t expect to sell much on T-Nation, but we fully expect a lot of pro athletes to use it.

OOOOoooooooooooo! I’m SO going to buy this $hit like candy!

It’s clearly hyperbole. Don’t be a bitch about it.

To be fair, compared to what some of the illegal supplements cost, $200 for a tub of this stuff ain’t bad.

What illegal supplements are you talking about? This is of a very different nature. It’s non-steroidal or hormonal. Still, it seems like an excellent product and I think may end up being well worth the price depending on training and goals.
To make the claims they state, the active ingredient must:
I know of at least one chemical that does that now, and it’s about $90/kilo. Now to make it taste good? I don’t know if it’ll be worth $200, but it won’t be cheap.

What chemical is that, if I may ask?
I’m wondering if it has some beta-alanine in it too.

From the Physique Clinic postings, we know that it has Beta-alanine in it, and that it supposedly will let you train virtually as much as you want without over-training. But other than that, and the secretive “it’s so awesome!” posts, don’t really know much.[/quote]
Oh NVM about my beta-alanine question.
