Actually, the aesthetic changes of the Hub were very minor in comparison to the architectural changes that were made to support it.
We are still refactoring some things and making adjustments to get all this new technology running smoothly on the servers.
We’ll post updates in this thread. Sorry for any inconvenience.
hmnnn yeah, I still can’t tell what threads have had recent activity or not, and when I click on a thread, I assume it’s supposed to take me to it, which doesn’t seem to be happening…?

Thanks for the response. But I’ve always found the HUB and forums slow on both firefox and IE in the past before the changes. I was wondering if the architectural changes addressed these issues? Also from what I’ve read in this thread I assume the problem with posts taking 5+ minutes to show up was fixed which is an awesome thing.
I like the concept of the little red arrow taking you to the first post since your last visit, versus clicking on the thread title to go to the beginning. However, when scanning a page full of threads to see which ones have been updated, it would be much easier on the eyes if the grey’ing out of the titles of threads with no new activity was brought back.
If that is not possible or is undesirable, then I would prefer if the little red arrows lined up with each other somewhere instead of being slapped on at the end of the thread titles. This too would make a quick visual scan much easier.

The little red arrows have always been there.
LOL. I guess I’ve always just looked at the color and never noticed the arrows. Thanks for clearing that up.

I’m having the same problem. I used to be able to tell which topics had activity since I last visited them, but now I can’t. How can you do the same thing with the new format?
^^^
This. How do i tell when there is new activity in a thread I posted in now?
If you click on your name next to a post of yours, and click “Find Posts”, you’ll see it there.
Any threads with box with an arrow next to them have new posts.
Thanks. This works, but it used to be a part of my profile before. It just seems like extra steps to find it now. Plus I liked the old format with the gray shading. It was easier to quickly see what had and hadn’t been updated.

Well, in the meantime, my avatar is staying put.
Hahaha, I just have to say your avatar is awesome.
Now that we have this all rolled out, we’ll take a look at the Order History / Level issues again. We redesigned the History page, but we’ll have a look at the data connections again.
Hey LFMatt, Since you are going to be looking at levels and I am a Super Sayajin, Any way you can put my level to, oh I don’t know, Say 90,000?

The site is very slow loading this week (especially today). I’m on a T1 line at work and this should be instant, but it’s timing out, going unresponsive, etc. Even to reply here, I clicked it, and could have gone for a coffee before the reply loaded.

I only read up to page 4 so far, so forgive me if it’s already been said but, I can search for the exact title of an old thread “SWR’s fat loss log” (using ‘with all the words’ and get zero responses. I could only find it with a google search.
I also remember making a thread about people’s grocery lists and wasn’t able to find it when I saw someone else’s more recent thread about it.

OKay,… I like the layout, but I’m confused,… I always go blindly to my hub and click on ‘find posts’ in order to see if anyone made additions to threads I was following,… now I can’t find it… too old for technology… arghhhh…

I do the same thing to check for new responses to threads I’m subscribed to.
I noticed the topics that have new replies will have a red tab next to them, and the ones that don’t won’t.
Instead of them being grayed out and red, they’re all red and only the unread are tabbed, if that makes sense.
Then again, there’s still maintenance going on so that might not be the final outcome.

I’ve commented before that I thought the hub was really slow. I never liked that I had to wait for all the little avatar pics to load before I could click on anything. It was worse if you clicked on someone else profile, god forbid Professor X’s, who might happen to have a ton of friends.
From what I remember when I got to see the new hub it doesn’t appear to do that anymore.
It’s still down I guess? Is it planned to try and be up today? If not… I’ll stop checking. Don’t want to waste my time if its scheduled to be down for 3 days or something.

Weird, when I jump into certain threads to post, it acts as if I’m logged out, then when I go back to the forum lists it acts like I’m signed in? Yet here I am in this thread and it treats me like i’m signed in and allows me to respond to a topic. I bet if my Level was 90,000 this shit wouldn’t be happening to me.

It may be up again today. We are making some changes and will most likely need to test. Whenever we have updates, we’ll post them here.

Not just your level, your number of posts is important too. I understand this site is working fine for Professor X.
