The humans are brought to the Predators’ home planet, right? I doubt it’s just one, especially since it wouldn’t be efficient for a hunter to weigh themselves down with 10 guns that each can do major damage with one shot.
in the preview they waisted were brought to a game reserve so I don’t think it’s actually the predators home planet
What if the super predator I described earlier was huge. I’m talking like the Shaq of predators and could handle a ton of guns? Plus they are a super advanced alien race so I’m sure their guns are pretty light

Wait so it’s on the predators home planet riiiiiiiiiight?

Rodriguez has already said there will be a Super Predator. Still not sold on this. I absolutely love the Predator franchise and have been waiting a long time for them to do a follow-up right, but every Rodriguez movie I’ve ever seen starts great and gets out-of-left-field silly about halfway through. I’m scared he’s gonna do that with the Super Predator and the Predator dogs. I do like that it takes place on their home planet, or at least a nuetral planet. When’s the release date?
GAME RESERVE!!!
IT
IS
NOT!!!
THEIR
HOME
PLANET!!!
July 7 or 9th.
I think your post is technically three fragment sentences but I think I know what you’re trying to say.
EDIT: when I read your post it was said in the 300 voice… Like “this is spartaaaaa!!”

When Brody has about a dozen laser triangles on his chest:
I peed.
It’s goona be good boys, can’t wait.
I love Predator movies and can’t wait either!! (is this weird for a girlie girl?.. w/e who cares).
The release date is definitely July 7th!!
Wow, sorry guys, I guess you’re really passionate about this. I thought I heard them say in the trailor commercial that it was on their planet, guess I misheard.
Hey, I’m not against a super-predator with ~10 different guns, I just didn’t think it was likely if they’re supposed to be hunters, seems like a little overkill to me to hunt something already smaller than a normal sized predator with that kind of firepower. Not that that is a reason a hollywood movie wouldn’t have it, of course…
You are right, gregron, maybe the guns aren’t that heavy, but having that many on a single predator still doesn’t seem very likely to me.
it is definitely not the home planet. Darkhorse comics did an issue about the home world that showed how the predators decided who led the hunt. would make a hell of a opening for a movie. predators vs predators.
I’ll look through some of my old collections to find the issue and # so any admitted or closet collectors can look for it.

Just so you know, I don’t think Robert Rodriguez read any of the graphic novels, Dark Horse Comics, or anything books related to Predator. I think he just based everything around the first Predator movie.
I hope I’m wrong.
^^Well if he bases it off of the first movie then thats fine by me since the first movie was the best… A little predator meets avatar (just for the world/sweet animal creature things) that would be sick.

As cool as that was, I kinda wish I had waited to see that scene in the movie.
I’ve been waiting for a good Predator movie for years, finally it comes. Love the fact that it’s based on Rodriguez(sp?) original script. Apparently according to him, they asked him to right a third Pred movie and he did, with Arnie as the person taken to the GAME RESERVE but it was going to cost too much so they shelved it, went the way of AvP and AvP2 which sucked ass and now they go back to him and ask him, “Can you please direct that awesome script you wrote for us 15 yrs ago?”.
He’s not directing cause he’s busy (Sin City 2 and 3 maybe???) but he said he wanted to produce hence the Trouble Maker Studio connection, he’s also the one who touched up the script do to no Governator. Can’t wait fr this; I don’t want to get my hopes up but he’s never let me down so we’ll see. the Predators look wicked if nothing else.
On a side note, apparently Ridley Scott has said that he finally wants to do another Alien movie. Not a sequel but a prequel, based like 100-200 years before the first movie. I guess originally it was going to deal the the ship that they find in the first movie but that has since changed.
As much as I love the idea of AvP they just don’t seem to work in movies, so hopefully this and the possible next Alien movie can do the franchises justice.
DGarcia, where did you hear that? That’s a completely different story than what I’ve rad/heard over the last 1.5 years. I had read that Rodriguez’s script was originally a prequel set in the 1700 or 1800’s were the Predator[s] are on a ship.
I saw it in an interview with him; I believe it’s on youtube if you can find it. he may have only given the points he felt valid; he wrote a script, they shelved it and now are releasing it slightly tweaked. However, in the interview he did say that his original plan was to take Arnold to the other planet to be hunted.

Another Alien movie by Scott would help the franchise a lot. I mean the other movies after Alien and Aliens (two of the best movies of all time) were so shit they basically crippled the franchise.
The cinematography in Alien still blows my mind, so fucking awesome for a movie made so long ago. Owns the other sequels by far! Also pretty stoked that Robert Rodriguez is got a hand in the film, got someone with damn talent and passion involved with the predator franchise!
