I wonder how Brooks feels about this his books are slow movers they get you in numbers and emotion. In fact in his interviews he prefers slow walkers not the meth zombies
 That’s from a few years ago, but I can’t imagine his opinion changed all that much. I think Paramount and/or Plan B (Brad Pitt’s production company) fully bought the movie rights to the book, and they went through a few screenwriters to end up with this finished product. I’m wondering if Brooks is under any kind of gag order as part of selling the rights. Unless my Google-fu is weak, I can’t find any recent interviews with him regarding the movie.

From the full trailer, it looks good enough. I just still can’t wrap my head around it being at all related to, or derived from, the book. It’s like turning Derek Jeter’s autobiography into a movie starring Jack Black.
Yeah I saw sometjing else where he wasn’t as blunt about it. Bradd probably did buy the rights but if what I read is true this is a trilogy and maybe
They’ll start off fast and become slower as they decay? Hollywood needs to hire my fan boy ass

Arnie plays Clint Eastwood.

Ladies and gents, welcome to the last big zombie film.

If this flops and doesn’t at least double the $$$ it took to make this film, then no more funds will go to any film remotely resembling an ‘infected’ storyline.

So even if you think this might suck, you need to hope that it doesn’t sink.

I’ve been waiting for this one. they had the world premier at “Hartwall Arena”, Helsinki, Finland, on November 10, and the audience was treated to both a full-scale Nightwish concert and the world premiere of the movie. better than the hollywood red carpet!
just hope it comes to a theater near me!

Here’s me a while ago curling in the squat rack with my friend. I’m the one talking and filming at first. Then when I go in my buddy for some reason turns the camera around like it’s an iPhone. Sorry.

How about a mass of fast moving zombies??

Trailer - World War Z TRAILER (2013) - Brad Pitt Movie HD - YouTube
I say kudos to Brad Pitt signing on to put some real money behind a zombie movie.

Don’t really care about the speed of the zombies. Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead had both: fast in open spaces or as individuals; slow in enclosed, zombie-rich areas.

I agree with Roybot. It’s cool that someone backed such a large budget zombie flick. If you’re looking for a faithful recreation of the book then you’ll probably be disappointed. I wasn’t a huge fan of the book so keeping to to the original story isn’t as important to me as getting my money’s worth out of a theater visit.

I think it’s going to be an enjoyable movie that keeps me entertained for a couple of hours.

Hahaha! Great Arnold impersonation, Nards. You do Tintin, you do Arnold, you do Rody Piper. Lol!

I also, when drunk, do William Shatner, Sean Connery and Gollum.

Hahaha!

It was good but didn’t like the lack of character development. I enjoyed the “Monster Island” series better.

Never heard of that series, will look it up.

My main issue with World War Z was the abrupt ending to each chapter when each story was pretty much just getting good.
