Not that it matters, but Alex was a thin tall white guy in the books.

Okay anybody else just a little ticked with this? I have read a lot of the Alex Cross series books, who and the fuck decided to put Tyler “fucking cross dressing” Perry as Alex Cross? [/quote]

Alex Cross Dresser?

There was a preview for Alex Cross on TV the other day, and it said something like “Tyler Perry as you’ve never seen him before…” and I immediately blurted out “as a man!”.

Morgan Freeman did an awesome job playing Cross, I just don’t know where they are planning to go with this.

They’re probably attempting a Jack Ryan style revamp of the character. Not quite a prequel, not quite a reboot. A younger Cross allows them to present a brashier, more physical take on the character.

They’ve already given the go-ahead for a sequel.

I’m really intrigued by this movie that comes out in about a week called Cloud Atlas. Looks pretty cool and interesting.

Who is this new villain in the Iron Man 3 trailer?

Psyched to see Guy Pierce get a role in the Marvel Universe.

Mandarin - Ben Kingsley

Nice. Let’s hope it does better than the third installments in comic book movies tend to do.

I wasn’t too fond of the second at all so i’m thinking this will be better.

Here is the trailer.

Iron Man3 has the look of a good summer movie no question. And this already has me smelling the popcorn…

I read the book and the thing I have to say (which I think I said earlier in the thread, but whatever) is that the movie looks like some huge, metaphysical trip to the boundaries of time and love and all that but it just wasn’t like that in the book. I mean the idea that each story is about the reincarnation of the people from the previous one isn’t in the book.
I’m still going to see it and if it actually is a metaphysical trip that blows the audience away then I’ll be very happy.

I’m not one of those jerks that always says the book was better than the movie.

Hell yes. I’m excited to see what Tarantino brings out in DeCaprio. It will be good for him to get away from Scorcese (sp) for awhile.

I really don’t like this.

The old John McClane (meaning in the first movie) used a firehose to help jump off the side of the building just to get a few floors down and he was scared and talking to himself about how he was going to die…the new one? NAH! just run and jump out of a window on the 30th floor and don’t worry!

This movie can get fucked.

Yeah, somewhere along the way Bruce Willis turned into an Arnold/Sly mixture of super action hero. Completely lost the essence of what made him original and cool to begin with.

Either that or you could argue that McClane’s done this shit so many times now that the crazy stuff doesn’t phase him.

Anyone read the book that this movie is made off of? It’s really entertaining and I’m looking forward to the movie too. Of course they really could hose it up.

It’s not like that in the movie either.

I guess that’s a good thing.

Haven’t read the book yet but the plot looks like a total mindfuck and Don Corascelli’s last booky adaptation was Bubba Ho-Tep. Soy Sauce FTW.
