NEW! Metabolic Drive Muscle Growth Formula

how much leucine is in a serving?
There’s approximately 8 grams Leucine per 3-scoop serving.

Well, I just downed my first shake with the new Metabolic Drive formula, and I gotta say that I like it. I’ve been having very little time in between my own training sessions and a couple of clients several evenings a week, and am usually rushed to eat ‘something’, so tonight I mixed up the chocolate in a blender with a few ice cubes, and I honestly feel like I actually ate something ‘real’ instead of the usual quick shake that tides me over for maybe an hour or so.

Obviously I’m going to have to see if it has any noticeable effect on my recovery compared to the older complete-formula (recovery being my main focus lately, with all of the peri-stuff and Mineral Support at night), but for the time being, I dig it

Shortest product discussion thread ever?

There’s not a lot to discuss as much of the science behind Metabolic Drive Muscle Growth Formula is the same as went into developing the products used in the Anaconda Protocol.

Feel free to post any questions you may have, however.

so the question then becomes what’s more effective? Pulsing with MAG-10 before meals and or in between. Or this stuff?

While were on it… BCAA or just straight Leucine?

If cost is not a concern, I’d use MAG-10 for pulsing over anything else.

That’s a good answer okay so what about the whole Leucine or BCAA deal?

The whole deal?

IMO, Leucine makes sense with meals, whereas I’d rather use MAG-10 than BCAA during the peri-workout window and/or for protein pulsing.

I used to ‘spike’ certain foods (oatmeal, shakes etc) with 5g of leucine, even if they were already protein rich, just hoping for an extra anabolic kick, but like Brian mentioned, MAG-10 basically replaces any instances where you would normally take a hit of BCAAs (that’s always been how I explain my own use, as I was a real big BCAA advocate).

As the Casein Hydrolysate absorbs so quickly, adding it to food (as you would with supplemental Leucine) would actually slow the digestion, hence defeating it’s benefit in the first place.

I can’t wait to try this! I found a tub of Metabolic Drive Complete in the back of my closet I didn’t know I had. I was feeling lucky and sad at the same time when I saw it was full. Metabolic Drive Complete for 22$ per tub was a steal, by far my favorite protein shake on the planet. It’s nice to still have some so I can do a direct comparison.

I’ll be putting my order together next week.

This is probably a no brainer, but I guess Metabolic Drive Muscle Growth >> Metabolic Drive Low-Carb or Grow! Whey for my morning protein shake since i dont have access to a good protein meal in the morning?

This depends on whether you want protein, carbs, and fat, or mainly just protein.

If a blend of macronutrients fits your dietary requirements best, go with Metabolic Drive Muscle Growth Formula.

How’s the taste? Same? Different?
The chocolate and vanilla flavors have a more traditional taste to me than Metabolic Drive Complete did.

Both flavors are a bit creamy when mixed in water, without being too thick.
This version is head and shoulders above the previous version taste wise, i also noticed it is much easier on the stomach than the previous as well.

I’m guessing this is because the carb sources are now the same as those in the FINiBARs.

Exactly Stu, i was to lazy to go back and add that into my post lol

when is the best time to make a shake with this stuff? I’m on a hypertrophy cycle right now and I take Surge Recovery post workout. Would this a good thing to take pre workout? Or would it be money better spent to throw it in on my non-training days or some other time of day on training days?

The best time is any time you want/need additional protein and carbs in your diet.

If consumed prior to training, I’d have Metabolic Drive Muscle Growth Formula 45 to 60 minutes prior to the workout.

How is this different from Metabolic Drive Complete, which I do not see in the store any more?
Looks like one of the proteins added to the mix is the same kind of whey as in Surge Recovery. That and one less gram of fiber per serving seem to be the differences.

I’d like to try this out, but I had some pretty bad GI issues with the original Metabolic Drive Complete. Don’t want to risk it.
The Metabolic Drive Complete used to give me some GI issues as well. This blend seems to be much easier on the stomach. I have had zero issues with this.

is it cool to throw a serving of Superfood in with this stuff?..or is it meant to be a more stand alone supplement than the regular MD?

It’s fine to mix Biotest Superfood with Metabolic Drive Muscle Growth Formula.

I prefer it with the chocolate flavor.
