This pancake recipe tastes like the real deal.
For anyone carb cycling,or on the AD,like I am, this recipe is ideal for you and your goals.
This recipe is an all-natural version of the real thing, but if you don’t want to use stevia, you can use splenda,or both for that matter(I just think it tastes better).
1 TSP of baking powder
1/2 cup Cottage cheese(I use organic because it’s lower in carbs)
1/2 or 2 1/4 cups of Bob’s Red mill almond flour(only 3 carbs per serving)
1/4 cup melted butter
Ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon sea salt(optional)
1 full egg,3-4 egg whites
1 teaspoon of either stevia or splenda,or both
Blend and cook.
The batch has 8 carbs ,31-34 g protein, and 3 grams of fiber per batch(the recipe shown above makes one full batch).
For the syrup, you can use either any store-bought low carb/sugar syrup,or two all natural sugar free syrups that you can get off of the internet(ask me if you want to know about the 2 syrups).
Try it and tell me what you think.
Enjoy.

is this a typo? that is quite a big variance. just wondering.
Josh
1/2 cup is the preferred serving for the recipe above.
I use 2 1/4 cups or more.
Still seems like a big variance to me. 1/2 vs. 2 1/4, which is more than 4 times as much. Wouldn’t that make them really thick and not mix well?
LOL!
No,I use two 1/4 measuring cups, because I have a small one that only holds 1/4 of a cup.

any substitution for the cottage cheese? i’d prefer not to eat that nasty shit…

While you won’t taste the cottage cheese in there-believe me,I spent a year perfecting this recipe-you can use plain yogurt or milk powder.
Nevertheless, I highly advocate using the cottage cheese.
Your taste buds will thank you for it.

so you mean you use “two” 1/4 cups right?
So a total of 1/2 cup right?
Correct.
I really need to go out and buy a 1/2 measuring cup.
is there anyway i can make this recipe if i only have a 1/8 measuring cup?
Nope. You’re SOL.
BTW, how are there only 3 g carbs in 1/2 cup of flour? Seems like Bob might have the typo…

N/P.
Well,it’s almond flour, which is made from almonds,so it’s already lower in carbs.
There are six grams of carbs per serving, but the 3 grams are fiber, which cannot be digested by the body, so you don’t count that.

Dude I can’t find Bob’s Red mill almond flour anywhere. I can find all of the other shit Red Mill makes except the almond. You have another brand?
You can buy Bob’s Red Mill almond flour online,or use NOW almond flour.
Hell,if you’re really desperate you could put the almonds through a food processor or a blender and you’d get almond flour-just don’t blend them to much or you’ll get almond butter.
