New Guy with First Lab Results and Questions

Alright, I’m 37, 6’ 185 lbs and completely sedentary at the moment. These are actually results from two different lab appointments and they are quite different. The first one I was majorly stressed and did not sleep at all the night before. Also, it was done later in the day.

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, MALES (ADULT), IA
121 L
250-827 ng/dL

Now a lab I think is more representative of my actual levels:

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, LC/MS/MS
400
250-1100 ng/dL

FREE TESTOSTERONE
65.2
35.0-155.0 pg/mL

FSH
2.9
1.6-8.0 mIU/mL

LH
2.4
1.5-9.3 mIU/mL

PROLACTIN
10.9
2.0-18.0 ng/mL

ESTRADIOL
18
< OR = 39 pg/mL

I was going to wait to see if I could get up above 500 naturally. The problem with that now is that I have a potentially serious penis injury and studies prove that low T gives worse outcomes for this injury. I’m looking to do what I can to have a positive outcome so I need to boost T for a few months at least. I was prescribed 25mg of Clomid a day, is there any reason I should not take that short term to improve my healing? Once I start something will it be possible to potentially come off later? It is likely secondary hypogonadism because LH and FSH is “low normal”, just like my T. Also, can someone recommend me a better way to get lab results? I see some results posed there that are much more detailed. My lab work costed $600 the second time. The problem is that I don’t do well with appointments because my sleep is usually worse the night before an appointment, I might even get no sleep. That’s why my first test was way off while the second one (walk in) was more accurate. Will doctors prescribe Nolvadex if I react badly to Clomid? I don’t want to do HCG due to burn out and I would rather deal from the “top” of the cycle if possible.

Clomid is a short term solution, eventually you will need TRT for life because your levels decrease as you age, your levels will not return to the lower levels should you quit clomid or TRT.

Discount labs is where I get my labs.

So if I take Clomid and stop, I will end up at even lower levels than I am currently. That is very unfortunate… I want kids even though it’s a late start, I don’t want to be on TRT. This combined with my penis injury is really affecting me mentally. I don’t know what to do, I honestly feel like I should give up on a romantic and reproductive future.

FSH injections will increase sperm production, use it when you’re planning on having kids by adding it to your TRT protocol. FSH is responsible for sperm production that TRT tends to suppress to near zero.
