I listened to these guys on and off for a span of years, heard the new song Diamond eyes on the radio and picked up the labum. Overall pretty solid album, and Great lifting music too! Kind of a post-hardcore feel to it.
Anyone else get it?

I liked it. I hadn’t listened to the Deftones for a long while before putting this album on. Hearing the first track brought me back a bit.
I’d put it behind White Pony in terms of greatness. Better than SNW and the self-titled for sure.
Now hopefully Chi gets better and they deliver that album they shelved.
Bought it this weekend, some good songs but yeah not as good as the first 3 albums.
Love it - You’ve seen the Butcher is my favourite; also love Sextape and Beauty School but to be honest I can’t say I dislike a single track.
I am a massive Deftones fan though.
cant stand it!!! i loved Adrenaline and Around the Fur was solid as well, i cant stand their new shit…i mean they have a few hardcore/heavy moments, but i think their old sound like Adrenaline is far gone…I miss songs like Engine No. 9, Nosebleed, 7 Words, and all that goodness!! i wont say Deftones isnt a good band, cuz i grew up listening to Adrenaline on a tape player, so they are a part of me in that weird music way haha but im just not fully into their new stuff…

haha, or Quoted For Truth
there are some hot spots here and there…around the fur was still their best
yea, i thought it was Quite Fuckin True cuz im right, there new stuff is soft as hell compared to Adrenaline and Around the Fur
I’m not a diehard deftones fan, but this album really gets me goin when lifting, and its cool to hear some semi-hardcore stuff that doesn’t have to do with being a vegan or the politics in israel… if you know what i mean lol
A month later and this album has gotten better, it hasnt left my cars cd player since I got it. Track 6 -Prince" is badass, been on repeat all week.

This is exactly how I rank their latest albums. Over all, Adrenaline / Around the Fur, then White Pony, Diamond Eyes, then the others.

Yeah, I agree I hope Chi gets better. But I gotta say I really liked that Sergio Vega helped them out on this. He is a great bassist, and I am a die-hard Quicksand fan from way back. Right there is a band that was way before its time.
i like it, although i miss the hardcore-ness of the earlier albums. you can actually listen to the whole album front to back which is nice, i couldnt do that with some of their other more recent albums.
Underrated
As
Fuck
Amen to that! I hope they get a lil more publicity and sell more records, as they aren’t the most radio-friendly band.
