New Cycle Help For Beginners

Hey T-nation, I’m new here learning and doing all this research on anabolic sterioids. I’ve done my fair share of sarms, but I’ve always been left with wanting something more. I have to do a pct after this current cycle I’m on and then get my blood done, but my main question is what do you guys think of 250 test c, 50mg var, 25mg morning, 25mg night/pre workout (I lift at night always) for my first cycle? Does anyone recommend any other compounds? Just want some advice, a lot of this stuff is very fascinating to me and I want to know more.

Tells us enough about you that I would see watching you lift weights in the gym. Age? Weight? Body composition? Strength?

I’m 18 going to 19 soon in a couple months, SR. in highschool going to start college soon. Im 5’10 about 176 and around that 10-12% bf area, I have some visible ab veins on my serratus anterior muscles and it goes down to the start of my abs (depending on my body temp) I’m just saying this to give you a sense of what bf % I am. Ive been seriously been lifting for about 2 years now, but have lifted since I was about 13. I can full stack curls on cable machines, needing a gym pin on most machines, I don’t do huge loads of DB work. But most of my lifts consist of 2x frequency with very high intensity. I was super shredded last summer but I’m wanting more size without putting on loads of bf because I had just got off a bulk not too crazy long ago and I got up to 190lbs. I want to run hgh pretty soon aswell, but didn’t know if I should just jump to anabolics aswell.

What are your goals?

How many Bodybuilding contests have you entered? That might sound odd to ask, but that is one of the prerequisites that I have for turning to AAS.

Pics are always helpful.

I’ve never entered any, Ill get some pics rq so u can get a sense of my physique. I plan to do one maybe around 20-21, my goal is to get way more size and I want to get to 190 lean.

I will not ask you to do anything that didn’t do myself.

Find a bodybuilding contest and enter it naturally. See if this is what you really want to do, before taking any of the risk of using AAS.

Also, I didn’t use AAS until I turned 22 years old. This was in 1971 where there was next nothing known of the risks of AAS. I took extremely low doses by today’s commonly recommended doses, even the starting doses.

Yeah I agree with your stand point, only reason on why I want to hop on any AAS’s is because I feel like I can’t maximize my genetic potential without them. I have a thought process of being “left behind” in a sense if I weren’t to hop on now or very soon. One thing I could mention is I want my clavicles/shoulder to waist ratio to grow exponentially since I have a wider waist/hold more fat on my lower back/lower abs.

I agree 100%. I believe I approached that point when I turned about 33 years old.

My first contest was in November 1970, where I finished last out of 15 contestants. In 1979 when I was 30 years old I won the Tall Class in the Jr USA. The following year I finished 2nd in Heavyweight Class of the 1980 Jr America.

I started lifting in 1968 and it took 11 years to win my class in a National Contest. There is no rush. Time is running, but it is not running out for you. You are not left behind, you are progressing every year.

Consider this: When I began placing in local and regional contests, my goal was to not look out of place in a National Contest. I made that, and then some. Put in the work and progress every year.

This is a no go. You are nowhere near fully developed and it is a huge mistake to start gear before development is complete. Looking at your stats your are nowhere near your genetic limit which is also a mistake when starting gear. You are basically renting muscle while on cycle and it will evaporate when you come off.
Horrible decision to mess with your hormones right now.
Do yourself a favor and learn how to eat and train. You’ve only been serious training for a couple years. This is a long game. 2 years is nothing.

Thanks for your imput man, I appreciate it

Yeah, I completely agree. Just hard sometimes not to compare myself to others and especially on how gear is so normalized and praised in the fitness community now-in-days. I do have a another question for you or anyone to respond. What do u think of a 360iu cycle of HGH (about a 90 day cycle and probably will get some more HGH after pass the water retention phase)? Starting around 2-4iu per day for enhancing my recovery and staying away from anabolics, maybe just having a couple more sarm cycles because thats nothing new to me.

By the way if you need a picture of my physique to help you make a more informed answer lmk too, i can put it in a reply obviously.

Running gh stand alone for 90days is not ideal. I would run it longer at 1-2iu for general benefits.
As far as taking gear it would really be a mistake to mess with your hormones while your brain is still developing.
You can post all the pics you like but at your age unless your a genetic freak and want to become a pro I would never recommend to take anything.

Here is where Im at around right now, all within late December to where we are at in January now. Im aware I need to work on my chest, its probably my worst point for my physique besides my triceps. But lmk what u think body building wise, since you’ve done a show.

this pic here is late december

Your pictures show that you have good enough genetics to become a competitive bodybuilder with some more work and time. Now, knowing that it is believed that high androgen hinders brain development, waiting until you finish college makes good sense.

What are you studying in college? It could be demanding. You will do your best if you have your priorities align with your long term best outcome in life. IMO, it is important to have a career that pays far above a living salary. Competitive bodybuilding is easier if you make enough money to support that jealous bitch. She demands to be first.

If I were you, I would switch to Powerlifting during your college years. It is not as time consuming and demanding as bodybuilding. I credit my two years competing in Powerlifting for building a solid foundation to transition back to bodybuilding. Plus, competitive Powerlifting is fun. The entire atmosphere in the meet is supportive in nature. Almost everyone is cheering for you to get a new PR. In competitive Bodybuilding the atmosphere is negative. No one is pulling for you to do well, except for the friends you bring with you.

You look good. Just keep doing what you’re doing. You don’t need drugs. You have good genetics. Ride that out as long as you can.

My plan is to attend IU bloom, and eventually find my way into pharmaceutical sales, since I’m so interested in biohacking. All of it just interests me on how you can take certain compounds to make such a huge change to your body and mind. But, I wouldn’t say I would want to make the compounds but I’d sell them as my job. Just very hard to stay natty now in days I feel like. lmao

I understand much has changed socially since I was your age. Back then far less than 1% of the population knew what steroids for athletes were. In fact, the doctors my wife (she worked in a teaching hospital) knew in the mid 1970’s confused anabolic steroids with corticoid steroids in a conversation. She had to clarify the type of steroid.

I strongly encourage you to wait until you are finished with college to assure that you give your brain more time to develop. Your genetics are fully capable of taking much further naturally before your muscular development approaches a plateau.

Ask yourself this extreme expectation: What is the oldest you could be when you acquire your Pro Card and not consider yourself a failure?

Don’t allow social pressure to dictate your choices.

Do you know your strength on the Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift?

No, I haven’t tested my maxes in so long since I had played football my jr year. But I have significantly gotten stronger and bigger since then.

Just wondering this too, do u believe having a coach is beneficial? I’m thinking it’ll give me a better sense of direction but they tend to get pricey.
