LOL. Bravo, OG.

He cuts it if the movie takes place in the time where Conan is just becoming an adult/man (as in a prequel).
If the trailers good I’ll check it out otherwise basic cable.

I don’t know if I agree with that. Conan was a slave and was worked hard daily. Maybe if he was supposed to be 16yrs old, but that fella is a bit more than 16yrs old. I think my brother was bigger than that at 16yrs old. And have you seen Waylander? The dude is a pretty big fella, bigger than this guy.
So the general consensus is that he’s more Conan O’Brian than Conan the Barbarian?

Yup.

ROFL
Well the slave thing was just for that movie. The comics have him growing up being a pirate. Thief, mercenary and so on. So it depends on what story they start off with.
There’s no steroid testing for films.

Even in the Howard stories, which preclude the movies’ placing Conan in a slave-camp since childhood, his 18 year old self is still described as “a bad-looking, ripped-to-fuck motherfucker.”
It was a simpler time.
First off no one can replace Arnold in this role, and as dumb as Hollywood is, I think even they realize this. All the surrounding elements will have to step up (supporting cast, cgi, decapitated heads, etc…).
This is going to be from the guy who directed Friday the 13th (thanks OG), a movie with some of the best gratuitous nudity, horror film humor, and story pacing I’ve seen in recent times. Also one of the best sex scenes ever shown in an R rated movie IMO. The casting of Jason Momoa turned me off initially, but now that I know who’s directing I’m actually looking forward to it. Large breasted villagers in tiny fox-skin thongs AND Rachel Nichols??!! Momoa is going to have constant wood.
This better be rated “R”

Good point. But even in the comics I have of young Conan, he was a big fella.

Damn right. Everything about the character is meant to imply strength, athleticism, and the ability to snap in twain any sumbitches need snappin’.
Leather Kilt Man doesn’t afear me. Leather Kilt Man looks like a small woodland creature might kick his ass.

My nerd sense is tingling. Rachel Nichols is already miscast - she should be Red Sonja.
