The removal of Saddam Hussein was almost universally agreed upon. President Bush did an incredibly shitty job planning for the inevitable power vacuum and he did an even shittier job coming up with an exit strategy. That’s his greatest failure as President and cost us over a trillion dollars and many lives. Obama didn’t make things any better and was in power when ISIS filled the vacuum left from the (at the time) decimated AQI.
There’s no fucking way Bush could have avoid Afghanistan after 9/11 he’;d of been impeached or shot before his first term ended.
