I used to go to the gym on a regular basis and work out hard five days a week.
My workouts had dropped to nothing after an injury to my left hip six months ago. Put on heck of weight
I’ve noticed fat deposition, worsening muscle mass, weakness, exhaustion, loss of strength, very slow recovery, depression and anxiety, hair loss, drop in libido, and ED, in addition to constipation.
Few years ago I had a few occurrences of testicular soreness that would diminish within 2-3 days.
Recently, I returned to the gym, a clean diet, minimising stress and more rest, started feeling better, But the slight testicular pain has returned.
With the above observations My primary concern is hypogonadism.
Because there are no TRT specialists or good endocrinologists around, I can’t dismiss it as my age or lifestyle’s fault. I’m considering to start with blood tests and testicular ultrasound later once i find a good urologist
What lab tests should I conduct, and what steps should I take to address this issue?
what is the legality of Test there? TBH - you don’t need doctors to manage TRT. with a bit of know-how it is 100% DIY. now, if you risk beheading because of buying T - i prob don’t do it.
I understand managing T is DIY mostly.
Testing isn’t an issue whatsoever, so is prescriptions.
I work in healthcare
Ive spoken to an endocrinologist just a while ago, explained him my scenario, he seems good.
I just need a blueprint of the blood work i need to start with.
I’d be more concerned about this than your test levels.
It’s hard to understand the fact that you work in healthcare, were willing to wait years before investigating mysterious testicular pain, and don’t know a reliable urologist.
You’re endocrinologist should know this.
I would make getting my balls and prostate checked a priority if I were you.
Hi! Just read your problem. I have experienced hypogonadism too. Found one clinic, got an online consultation, and almost for a year feeling better. Try to read this (this is the clinic I have been prescribed by)
UPDATE
Ive been feeling well recently after supplementing micros, vitamins, and making lifestyle changes. Workouts and gains have recovered
i got a scrotal ultrasound and CT of kidney/bladder done.
CT ruled out any kind of issues
Whereas the ultrasound scrotum revealed a low grade bilateral varicocele. With few epididymal cysts
Will be going for labs this Sunday morning then for a clinical examination.
I hope that the varicoceles don’t cause fertility issues since we are planning for kids.
