Ncsugrad's TRT Log / Diary

Good deal, hopefully that turns into feeling good most of the time in the coming weeks

I bought a pile of AMZN stock back when it was like 800… wish I had mortgaged everything I owned and bought more haha… hindsight is a bitch.

I have a real estate venture that you may be interested in. We’ll talk about it one day because you sound like you have your shit together.

Ha that could of also been the death of you if they tanked below 800. Wouldn’t sweat it. I know people who bought BTC when no one mainstream talked about it and they sold years before Q4 of 2017. I’m not an investing pro, but the best one’s I’ve know all employ some kind of stupid easy strategy that most people are not patient enough to execute. I.e. not buying anything unless they plan to hold min 10 years.

Also, I spoke too soon. Felt sluggish all today.

Sounds good. Yeah we save a lot, we’ve got 5-7 more years if we can keep our incomes where they are and we’ll be able to at least live on rental income / investments and quit the day jobs if we want. It wouldn’t be a glamorous life but knowing we could make it on our own is a nice feeling. I’ll probably work past that, maybe part time or consulting or something like that. We’ll see I suppose.

We’re on the last season now btw.

Yep. That’s mostly what we do other than me buying some amazon and Tesla years ago that I’ve just planned to hold indefinitely so I didn’t care if it bounced around in the meantime

Most of our investments are just index funds that we setup to auto buy every pay period. Been that way for years. Plus the usual maxing our 401K, Roth, HSA, etc. It adds up, eventually. And a few rentals that we got lucky on.

Hopefully I’m on the upswing.

I went from no morning wood to almost wet dream level the last 2 nights/mornings. And lots of randoms today. Not a good day to be wearing dress slacks haha, but whatever, I’ll take whatever I can get.

We’ll see I guess.

Well never mind on that one. Numb as ever, no way that was working.

Hopefully just a couple more weeks. I know I was back and forth all over the place the first 6 weeks on injections too so hopefully it works itself out. I feel like a bloated cow.

I got bloat and insatiable appetite for the first 5-6 weeks. It went away after that. Same with some mild body acne.

Oh, yeah, ton of acne too. All over my face, neck and back. Not as bad as when I was using cream, but close

Has anyone ever taken b6 to reduce prolactin? Any positive experiences?

I’ve thought about trying that at some point. I’ve tried caber and it made me feel completely weird and dropped my prolactin from high to almost immeasurable even when I was taking tiny amounts so it seemed too strong.

I’m not changing anything now. Just want the easy O’s again at some point and looking at possible problems

Mine has been low 20’s every time, over 15 is considered over range but I’m not sure it matters. I know some people on here have same as me and are good to go with their tinder girls

I tried. It’s possible it helped some. I’ll write more later. I’ve also tried someone called Vitex too. At work now but will try to write more details later.

Edit - my prolactin was always around 15 when tested. My Dr gave me caber too, I tried it once, I’ll never take it again.

Just a little update. I am 4 weeks in on being back on injections.

T wise I’m continuing on the same amount, 65mg x 3x per week. I think I originally said I was going to do 180mg/week but I bumped it up slightly to get it closer to 200mg/week.

I also added in 200mg of B6 daily. I’ve read several good things about it helping reduce prolactin a reasonable amount without any of the side effects associated with Cabergoline. Whether it’s helping, coincidence or placebo, I don’t really know, but it def isn’t making things worse so I am going with it for now.

I’ve been doing pretty good sex wise the last week, no marathons, if anything I’m being too quick, which is a welcomed change (well, for me anyways, haha :sob: ). I’m still limiting to every other day max, sometimes ever 3rd day, so that is certainly helping. Sensitivity still isn’t what I consider to be normal but I’m not going fully numb so there’s that at least. I just don’t get that “holy f that feels good” feeling anymore. It’s been that way since I stopped taking finasteride.

It’s really weird. Perhaps it’s TMI but if I compare the sensations of say scratching my leg with my fingernail vs. scratching my genitals, I can feel it on my leg much more strongly. I’m still somewhat numb feeling on genitals. I don’t know why but it makes me wonder if it’s a side effect from Finasteride. Hopefully enough eventually T gets my sensitivity back to where it used to be.

Hmm what else.

My joints have hurt a lot lately, right shoulder and left knee. Both have had issues over the years but I hadn’t really noticed them lately and figured my presumably higher E2 would make them feel better, guess not. Not sure why they’re bothering me now, maybe it’s just the colder weather.

That’s about all I can think of right now.

Oh, one thing I keep forgetting to ask about.

Every day around 5-6pm I start getting a tension headache. I always assumed it was because of my crazy commute and just from driving so much but I was off work the last two days and still got them at the same time. Doesn’t seem to matter what I eat or do, always happens around 5 or 6.

Any ideas why? Cortisol maybe or something weird like that? I have no clue.

Do you take any pain killers on a regular basis?

Nope, almost never

I’m pretty sure 200 mg of b6 is incredibly toxic to the body

Look up studies related to b6 and peripheral neuropathy.

Edit: looks like “occasional” peripheral neuropathy has been reported with doses in 100-300 mg range.

Looks to not be common at those dosages. Regardless, I switched to 100mg/day instead of 200mg/day. From what I was reading you have to get in the 800+mg per day to really have a high chance of having issues

Overall I’ve been decent the last few days. I’m still doing 65mg 3x a week. I’m almost 5 weeks in.

Last injection was Fri night and I’ve been DYING all day libido wise. It was awesome to feel that way after being so numb to it sometimes. I don’t know if it’s just because I’m acclimating to the dose or if I only feel like this where my “peak” levels are or what, not sure there is any rhyme or reason to it honestly

Continuing on as is… hopefully I’ll feel like this more often the longer I stay on this dose.

@ncsugrad2002

Look into P5P. Much less side effects than B6 (I’ve tried both).

Try changing your meal times and see if the headaches occur at the same time. How’s your sleep?

Welcome to the 200mg/week club. You’re going to be hard 24/7. Your wife is going to feel like she’s being pounded by a stranger because sex gets so good especially when she feels how much you want her all day everyday.
