That game winner, wow. Houston fans gonna call him Damian Fucking Lillard for the rest of his career.
I’m almost sad that he hit it and denied us a 6th game 7, 3 on back to back days, and a conference with all 4 series going 7, but the majesty of that shot makes up for it. Series ending buzzer beating 3, that’s the type of shit that goes into the all-time highlight reel, the shots that get played forever. Rose Garden got to see them win the series as well instead of having to steal it away @HOU.
The NFL playoffs ain’t got nothing on the NBA post-season. Best playoffs in sports.
Red is right, Damian Lillard just got one for his career reel. I can’t remember the last time a buzzer beater closed out a series. Jordan against the Jazz was in the Finals and that wasn’t a “buzzer beater”, which really puts into perspective how awesome that guy was.
Lillard is an ice cold killer. He is quickly rising up the ranks of my favourite player list. I’m sure once Dirk retires I’ll move on from rooting for the Mavs and root for Lillard and co.
Amazing highlight play.
I lived in Portland for a bit, and as much as I dislike that city and wanted Houston (born and bred) to win, goddamn that kid can play.
So Z-Bo gets suspended for a nudge to Steve Adams jaw. I’m a kiwi but fuck that shit. Since when does the league suspend players for fouls that aren’t even called flagrant on the court? The NBA playing god once again. What’s new?
Fuck the Thunder and Russell “Metrosexual” Westbrook.
Joe Johnson has been unguardable all series
I feel awful right now.
Big up to the city of Toronto…great fans they have there. Let’s go heat!!!

Man… I had heart palpitations the last 5 min of the game to the point I felt light headed, no joke.
Even though the winner of BKN/TOR would’ve just ended up being a sacrificial lamb to the Heat, it still would’ve been nice to see the Raps make it to the 2nd round.
A little disappointed but seeing how they were expected to miss the playoffs at the beginning of the season, they greatly surpassed my expectations.

Did Mike Woodson draw up that last play of the game…shit that was awful…I love lowry, but hes small you would think you would want a bigger guy getting to the rim

Believe it or not, that’s a big part of his game, though maybe not the best choice on the last play of the game. Everyone closing in on him.
Though DeRozan had the flu apparently so I wouldn’t’ve given him the ball either.
Rd 2
My predictions after rd 1:
LAC 7 games
IND 5 games
SA 6 games
MIA 7 games
Judging by rd 1 games, rd 2 should be even better.
1 - Agreed that those great Raptors fans deserved another round.
2 - IND isn’t advancing past WAS in this round. (ie. only one of those teams is “peaking for the playoffs”)
3 - And while I’d like to call a POR upset as well, that SA coaching staff prob doesn’t let it happen.

Edit: I’m referring to roy hibbert
I mean, he deserves it. He’s an absolute ghost so far in the playoffs. Something like 2.5 PER. Possibly the most bizarre/worst disappearing act in sports history(saying possibly because I’m sure there are some good ones I am unaware of, but this has to be in the conversation).
^^ Yep, I can’t remember anything like this.
It’s gotten so bad that even the TNT guys are done clowning and are legitimately trying to help.
