NBA Playoffs 2012

Soooooooo would we say OKC got the calls this game?

I didn’t see the final but I remember up until half time at least, FT shooting was extremely lopsided.

To be honest, once they got out to a 20pt lead in the 3rd, my focus really faded.

The game was so lopsided that the officiating was sort of irrelevant.

The first half had some bad calls but I didn’t think (at the time) that either team was getting hosed more often than the other.

If Miami got all the calls the conspiracy theorists would complain how Stern wants Miami to win. If OKC gets the calls it’s because Stern wants the series to go 7 games.

It doesn’t matter either way. But yeah, I think OKC got more calls except that stupid technical on Fisher.

lol

hope this comes up, Mark Cuban and Skip having some good discussion on finals this year and last year

part 2

Cuban is great.

that is awesome. About time someone put Skip in his fucking place.

Good to see Lebron win a ring. Its rare to see a player score 20+ in every single game like he did, not to mention the D, assists, and rebounding.

So lets rank the top 6 greatest moments of the 2012 NBA Playoffs. They’re not necessarily happy moments.

  1. Amare breaking his hand
  2. Lebron getting his ring
  3. Clippers coming back from a huge deficit against Memphis
  4. Lebron becoming the undisputed best player in the league
  5. Rose blowing out his knee
  6. The death of James Harden’s max contract

Did I leave anything out?

Apparently Brandon Roy is unretiring.

The amazingly fair and consistent job the officials did.

Best moment of the playoffs was LeBron winning his ring - c’mon lets not even joke about it.

But the 2nd best moment from THIS WHOLE SEASON, which will be remembered, was Jeremy Lin. The 2011-2012 season will always be remembered as the year of the Lin.

Just Lin baby, Lin.

I just heard Jeremy Lin got himself some new business representation. Man, I wish I could manage him, I’d make him a STAR. I’d form a PLC called Linsanity Ltd and we’d be dominating the merch game and the Asian market.

Some of my ideas:

  • Nike Lins (each one would come with a subscription to the Journal of Financial Economics) - tag line “They make you smarter on the court” - Just Do It.

  • The Lin Restaurant. We’d be competing with Mr. Chows and BOA but what will separate us would be authentic NY cuisine. We’d also have a Coney Island section in the menu. Chinese food + hard NY food = win.

  • The Jeremy Lin School of Basketball and Business. It would be a private institution although we could have branches of community programs across the U.S and eventually into China. It would probably be a prep school with a business focus. What’s better than playing basketball for a couple of hours then getting to learn how to price financial options?

Oh I can only dream…

Last idea sucks, as for the shoes I would just play off of how Lin and win rhyme. I think standard things are in order for him, cereal boxes, some shoes, etc…

Sounds like someone needs to put down plastic before these dreams start…

My take away from the “biggest media market” knicks is that the players quit on their coach, and he got fired for it. Then they got their asses kicked by the heatles, Amare being a dumbass and punching glass. If had Lin had not gotten hurt, and actually helped them in the playoffs he might be a big story, but he dint and the only ppl that are creaming over him still are knick fans.

'Melo didn’t like D’Antoni. That’s why after Melo game over from Denver they absolutely started stinking it up. A’mare was actually getting used to playing with Felton and the boys until they traded half the team for Melo.

Reports are that Nash is seriously contemplating signing with the Knicks next year. Nash as the starting PG with Lin on the bench learning from one of the best PGs of all-time is not to be taken lightly. Can you imagine how happy A’mare would be if it were to happen? It would improve his game two fold.

Lin and Novak had their bird rights reinstated so NY has a strong future.
