MIA has been favored by 3-4.5 pts at home, and they’ve been ~5-6pt underdogs on the road. Basically OKC has been slight favorites this series (home court is worth 4-5pts in the playoffs)[/quote]
So with the way things have “unfolded” there’s been A LOT of money changing hands. Makes sense.
White Flash, I bet you are extremely annoying to watch games with. Your theories of bad calls are getting old. Its ridiculous to say OKC would have already won it, Miami has been out playing them, regardless of bad calls.
Bad calls do not make OKC blow a 17 point lead, bad calls are not why LBJ is sinking his 3’s and unstoppable on his drives, they also do not lead to Chalmers stepping it up and giving OKC the D-stain last game.
Go change your underwear, and watch the GAME, remember, it is a GAME, so stop whining about the refs, its not like you are on the team. We are spectators, sometimes our team wins, sometimes it doesnt.

Huh? A lot of money changes hands regardless of which team wins. I’m really confused what this has to do with anything.
The fact a very slight underdog is up 3-1 in a series really isn’t that uncommon or unexpected. It’s basically saying OKC would be favored by 1pt on a neutral floor… nearly dead even.
Are you saying gamblers are influencing refs or Stern is? What’s good for gamblers isn’t necessarily what’s good for the league in terms of revenue.
Here’s what I have observed. You and WF have completely different thought processes when looking at the officiating issue.
You take an extremely analytical approach playing with statistical probabilities in your head, appealing to authority (I considered that gambler argument you made logically fallacious though), and stating lesser known statistical facts to make your case.
WF on the other hand is taking a more of a “feel” approach where he’s relating what he’s seeing on the court to his personal experience of previously watching ball and playing ball at a high level.
Anyways, I doubt this discussion will go anywhere.

I don’t have a team. For the last fucking time so you whiney numbnuts can shut the fuck up " PLAYERS GOTTA PLAY". OKC hasn’t made the shots they should’ve, but, when the refs give Miami free buckets and allow them to come back, take the lead and hold a lead, it robs your confidence. OKC is playing 5-on-8 and demoralized. The refs have handed Miami the series and taken the wind out of OKC’s sails.
How many techs have you gotten in referee’d games for what you consider bogus foul calls against you? I bet you argue nearly every call against you and complain about no-calls on the other end constantly.
My point is when you believe for something to be true, you have the strongest confirmation bias of anyone I’ve ever heard of. You (subconsciously) play up every single possible instance that confirms what you believe and don’t even notice anything that contradicts. The same way you ignore the crazy number of last-second shots Kobe misses by saying he’s the best clutch player in the league because of how many he’s made.

This same thing applies to you as well, ya know?
You 100% believe that the “fix” isnt in and see every single possible instance that confirms what you believe.
It goes both ways. If you think its fixed you’ll find things to support that. If you don’t think its fixed you’re going to find things to support that.
If I was a Miami fan I wouldn’t care if the officiating was biased in my favor. My team would still be winning and would get their rings…who cares about officiating then? (kinda like the Lakers did back in 2001… I could care less if the officials really made that happen against Sacramento lol)

No it doesn’t.
It’s quite an extraordinary claim to say that the NBA is fixing games. I don’t believe it personally because such a massive claim would require extraordinary evidence for me to believe it.
The Heat getting the lion’s share of bad calls isn’t enough evidence to say it’s fixed to me.

Wow.

wow what?
if you were a big fan of the team and your squad was getting all the calls you’re saying you would care?
“NO! Stop calling all those fouls against the other team. I dont want my team to win!” lol

Oh no.
I thought you meant if I knew 100% the game was legitimately fixed.

Didnt that ref that got in trouble betting on games say that they would get direction on which team to favor? Was he the only 1 to come forward and say that or were there more?
If you dont think the refs are watching the same game we are, and thinking “this team seems to be making a run, we dont want this to get out hand so people turn the tv off, Charging call, hand checking call”
You’d have to be pretty thick to not see it, and that’s not even getting into “superstar calls” Which KD is clearly not getting.
Anyways, i have no intention of watching tonight. The nba is somewhere between real sport, and the WWE.

There you go, bitching again… getting really old. Hopefully the series ends tonight to shut you up as well.
I dont see him producing much tonight unless he starts getting the “LeBron” calls he had been getting all playoffs long (putting his head down and running straight into people in the lane and getting the call)

I can’t believe anybody that’s played even an intramural game would say this. This is not a personal attack, as most people do but I think it’s pure bullshit.
I’ve seen plenty of games turn around because ref’s made two or three consecutive bad calls. In a sport decided on momentum where talent level being equal, to say calls don’t have the most effect is bullshit. Coaches have been kicked out of games to get the teams to play different, you don’t think a ref will have more of an effect.
If I’m a ref, and a team has a great post player all I have to do is make two offensive foul calls and I can be sure that guy won’t score in the post the rest of the game. Don’t believe it, look at game 2 and 3 with Lebron last year. When you make players think how to change in an instinctual game they’re screwed.
It’s like playing a game with a 10 y/o that changes the rules every 5 minutes you’ll eventually quit.
