I wouldn’t exactly say the Suns were ‘too much’. They were terrible in the first half. They grabbed a lot of points in the second half, but I would say it was more due to consistent turnovers and bad shots from the Spurs, than from the Suns playing particularly well. I thought both teams played pretty poorly for the majority of the game. Neither team was playing at Finals caliber.

That whole game was underwhelming.

Damn Steve Nash has to be one of my favorite players to watch, awesome.

Wednesday May 9 recap:

  1. Jazz defeat 8) Warriors 127-117 (overtime) - Carlos Boozer had 30 and 13, and the Jazz outscored the Warriors 14-4 in the first overtime of the 2007 playoffs and take a 2-0 lead in the series. Baron Davis had 36 points and Stephen Jackson had 27, and the Warriors had a chance at the end of regulation to wrap it up, but couldn’t get it done.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: Derek Fisher. He only had 5 points, but had a huge 3 pointer in overtime. He came into the stadium at halftime, suited up and came in the game in the third quarter. He had a very touching postgame interview, after the family problems he has been having lately. Good player, great man. Respect.

I will be out of town and away from the computer from Thursday through Sunday. KO421 will be doing the recaps and stud of the night for this timeframe. I will be back on Tuesday. Thanks.

wow, just wow, that was a rough loss

Yeah I agree. If Baron Davis would have made that free throw at the end of regulation, they would have been up 3 and force Utah to shoot a three. He also had a chance at the end of regulation to win the game, and got a good look at a 3, but it look like he got a bad shot off.

Someone tell me how Biedrinks can make both, but Pietrus and Baron can’t!

No idea I was cringing when the guy with the ugliest free throw shot ever was up there and he drained them! Sports are unpredictable…

Amare is calling Bruce Bowen (and the entire Spurs team) “dirty” and this clip is some pretty clear evidence:

Thursday, May 11 recap:

  1. Pistons defeat 5) Bulls 81-74 -

The Pistons overcame a 19 point second half deficeit outscoring Chicago 32-17 in the third quarter to take a 3-0 lead over the Bulls and pretty much ashure themselves a spot in the Eastern Confrence Finals.

KO421’s Stud of the night goes to Tayshaun Prince with his 23 points and 11 rebounds

KO421’s Thuggin the Court Award goes to Baron Davis with 32 points, 9 Assists and 6 steals. Including getting his shoulders brushed off by Stephen Jackson after a spectacular slam dunk over Kirilenko.

no, that is awesome though, they had a decibal meter showing the crowd noise, I think after the dunk the crowd reached 110 or 120 DB’s, I used to work at a racetrack monitoring sound a 110DB car is LOUD!

Cavs and Nets are about to tip off, Nets need to pull a win off at home to stay in the series.

Nets defeat Cavaliers 96-85

The Nets turned their rebounding around to win game 3 at home and get back in it with the series now 2(Cavs)-1(Nets)

Jason Kidd got his 11th post season triple double to pass Larry Bird on the all time list. While Labron James was held to 18 points.

Spurs defeat Suns 108-101

The Spurs win at home to gain the lead in the series 2-1. Including a dominating 4th quarter from Duncan where he had 13 points, he ended up with 33 points and 19 rebounds. This series reminded real physical with Ginobli getting a bloodied and bruised eye but he ended with 23 points still.

KO421’s Thuggin the court award goes to Jason Kidd with his 11th carrer triple double 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 14 assists, 1 steal

Bulls defeat Pistons 102-87 to avoid getting swept to bring the series to 3-1.

Jazz defeat Warriors 115-101 to get a commending 3-1 series lead going home.

It looked like the Warriors where going to pull it out when Derek Fisher and Carlos Boozer took control of the game. Fisher hit a big 3 and had 14 points in the 4th quarter. The Warriors looked to be showing signs of fatigue from their high tempo of play and short bench they have used all playoff.

KO421’s Thuggin the court award goes to Carlos Boozer with his 34 points and 14 rebounds

Hopefully Stoudemire and Diaw won’t get suspended. That would really hurt the series.

Monday May 14 recap:

  1. Cavs defeat 6) Nets 87-85 - Lebron James had 30 points and the Cavs are within one game of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Nets big 3 shot poorly, combining for 45 points, including only 5 from Kidd. Vince Carter had a chance to tie the game at the end of regulation, but lost the ball backing down Eric Snow.

  2. Suns defeat 3) Spurs 104-98 - Steve Nash had 24 points, 15 assists, and a run-in with Robert Horry at the end of the game, and the Suns even things up at 2-2. Tony Parker had 23, and Tim Duncan had 21 and 11 boards. The Spurs had the game in control most of the way, but the Suns used a 12-1 run to close out the game.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: Steve Nash. Another beastly game from the 2-time league MVP helped the Suns gain momentum heading back to Phoenix. He also showed his toughness by getting up after he got knocked down and getting in Robert Horry’s face late in the game.

TMONEY1’S HONORARY NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT: KO421. KO stepped in nicely and did a great job on the updates the past four days. Thanks bro.
