Sunday May 27 recap:

  1. Cavs defeat 1) Pistons 88-82 - LeBron James had 32 points and 9 dimes, including a jumper at the end of the game to seal the game, and the Cavs are now down 2-1. Rasheed Wallace had 16 points and Chris Webber added 15 points and 7 boards.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: LeBron James. He had a huge night, and a huge fourth quarter, and silenced his critics with his performance, especially by hitting a jumper at the end of the game. His dunk on Rasheed Wallace was beastly as well.[/quote]

I caught the 4th quarter of this, fun game Lebron looked dominant and real strong, he hit some nasty shots, that dunk, the jumper, and he hit a fade away three that was just silly.

Monday May 28 recap:

  1. Spurs defeat 5) Jazz 91-79 - Manu Ginobili scored 22 points and Tim Duncan had 19 points and the Spurs are one win away from the NBA Finals. Deron Williams with another monster game while playing with a stomach ailment (27 and 10 dimes) and Carlos Boozer added 18 points.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: Manu Ginobili. He had 22 points, including 15 points in the fourth quarter and hit key free throws at the end of the game to close it out for the Spurs.

Tuesday May 29 recap:

  1. Cavs defeat 1) Pistons 91-87 - LeBron James had 25 points (including 13 in the fourth quarter), 11 boards and 7 dimes, and the Cavs tie up the series at 2-2. Chauncey Billups had 23 points and 9 boards, and Rip Hamilton added 19 for the Pistons.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: Daniel Gibson. He scored 21 points, including 12-12 from the free throw line, and was instrumental in the Cavs victory, playing in place of Larry Hughes, who is suffering from an achilles heel injury, and played only 17 minutes.

Wednesday May 30 recap:

  1. Spurs defeat 5) Jazz 109-84 - Tim Duncan and Tony Parker had 21 points each, and the Spurs beat the Jazz, finish the series 4-1, and head to the NBA Finals. Andrei Kirilenko had 13 points and Deron Williams had 11 points, but were dominated by the Spurs from start to finish.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: Tim Duncan. His 21 points helped the Spurs back to the Finals and a chance to play for the team’s fourth title in nine years.

PLEASE Lebron win this out! That would make for a fun series.

Lets see if the Cavs can finish one out on the road this time, they have looked good in all 4 games just not able to close out the first two.

Congrats to the Spurs for some pure DOMINATION on the court tonight securing a spot in the finals.

Yeah lets see if the King can do it. He finally got some help from his bench last game.

Last year in the Eastern Conference Semis, the Cavs went up 3-2 on the Pistons before losing in 7. They have to finish.

Either way, the Spurs will probably beat either team.

I agree, I was going to put in my lost post congrats to the Spurs for their 4th nba title in the last 10 years but didn’t want to eat crow… I would rather the Cavs win out… if Detriot makes it to the finals I could really care

Yeah I’m with ya KO.

I don’t know about you, but I think this is the turning of the tide in the NBA. I think the Spurs will probably beat the Pistons, but the Spurs are the oldest team in the NBA, and the Pistons, although still great, don’t look as sharp as they used to.

I think we will start to see more of the Cavs, Jazz, Suns, Bulls, Lakers (if Kobe stays and gets help), Magic, Wizards, and other young teams start to emerge, and more of your regular playoff teams now might not be so dominant within the next 5 years.

In my opinion, it’s all a cycle. Teams have several good years, then several bad years, then several good years again.

And their 2nd title with an asterisk. Of course, the first asterisk comes from the lockout-shortened season. And if they get this one, it arrives on a silver platter.

Man why did you make me click a link with so many renfrences to the tuck rule?

there is a deep coroner of my brain where I store memories like that, I hate when they resurface.

WHAT A GAME! Man, I take back what I said about the conference finals (at least this series, not SA-Utah). This has become a great series. Lebron was amazing.

Thursday May 31 recap:

  1. Cavs defeat 1) Pistons 109-107 (2 OT) - LeBron James had 48 points, including the Cavs last 25 points, the Cavs last 11 field goals, and including 29 points in 4th quarter and both OT’s, and the Cavs go up 3-2 in the series heading home to Cleveland. Richard Hamilton had 26 points and Chauncey Billups had 21, and had a great shot at the end, but rimmed out.

TMONEY1’S NEAT-O STUD OF THE NIGHT, SPONSORED BY T-Nation: LeBron James. The King. Enough said.

For anyone who didn’t see it, LeBron James’s performance was ridiculous!!! Beast of a performance. He simply took over the game and single handedly beat the Pistons. If you didn’t see it, I HIGHLY recommend you watch SportsCenter and prepare to be amazed.

He definitely silenced his critics on his ability to finish a game, but let’s see if he has any gas in the tank to wrap it up at home in game 6.

Fantastic game. Amazing performance by Lebron. He lit up the palace. I am definitely looking forward to game 6. Good job with the recaps tmoney.

LeBron’s performance tonight was epic. We’ll be talking about that one for a while, at least until he one-ups it.

Still though, big ups to the Pistons, even in the face of such hot plays coming from LeBron, they stayed strong the whole game.

I lost my satelite signal with 54 seconds left in the 4th so I went to bed. I was pissed today to find out they went into 2 OTs.

FUCK!!!

Lebron surprises me, sometimes I think he is kind of sluggish sometimes then POW! Another couple of years and he’ll be unstopable as I think he has a few more shots to perfect like the 3 pointers.

I wonder if he’ll ever do his 90 foot toss… on purpose?

I fell DEAD asleep when I got home from work slept from 4-930 I think it was from overtraining… Very pissed I missed this game, not being able to sleep is fun to, 6 egg omletes at 3 AM are awesome though… Thank god for Spike!

What a load of crap!!! You can put an asterisk by every team’s championship. There is always someone hurt, or someone suspended, or someone going off to play baseball. Or fouls that didn’t get called that should have, or fouls that got called that shouldn’t have, etc. etc. The Spurs won every single one of their championships. Period. End of Story.

I hate to do two posts back to back but I think McDyess’s clothesline last night just shows how Horry’s foul against Nash wasn’t that bad it certainly was no where near as bad as McDyess’s foul last night.

LeBron is awesome. That was amazing period. LeBron’s success is what is causing Kobe to come unglued.

Every time I get mad at the NBA LJ reminds me of what basketball is about. If that was a finals game it would definitely be one of the greatest games of all time. He was incredible.

So who you got Pistons or Cavs? Remember even the game the Cavs lost it was only by 3 and Auburn HIlls.
