So, are they having an All-Star game this year? Don’t remember them having one in '98.
Yes.
At the end of Feb.
Anyone playing fantasy? I am winning my roto league and doing shit in my 2 h2h leagues.
Damn LAL actually looking good, well, at least on the stat sheet. Bynum had 21 points and like 22 boards or something to compliment Kobe’s 37. The final score wasn’t that impressive - 108-99 over the Rocket’s but Bynum has definitely been impressive. Maybe his climb is a result of Pau Gasol’s continual fall but whatever the case he’s playing like a guy that doesn’t deserve to be the topic of jokes.
Scj you want to retract that statement about the Lakers barely coming out of the West?

I was winning roto till today, when I slipped to third. LeBron/Gallo/Gay/Chandler/Bogut/T. Parker/K. Martin/Teague and a bunch of crappy players in my two UTIL slots. I am hurting for threes like you wouldn’t believe, solid everywhere else.
Damn LBJ stopped shooting threes… good for him in real basketball, not so much in fantasy.

No. The talent of their top 3 would be enough to carry them but my question is Kobe/Bynum health, because their 4th through 12 men are several tiers below those top guys.
4 or 5 games does not prove to me that Bynum’s knees will make it through the whole 66-game season.

Pretty good team. I ended up with Kevin Love and Monta Ellis as my first 2 picks, so I decided to tank on blocks (I’m literally last place) and go realy guard heavy, but I’m #1 in ft%/ast/3pm/steals/points. I somehow managed to get Kyle Lowry and Ty Lawson really late in the draft too. I hope Steve Nash picks up his scoring/steals because he is undroppable in my league and nobody wants to trade for him. I’m winning assists by over 200 over the next guy lol.
Does anyone get the NBA league pass? My cable provider just dropped the MSG network which provides Knicks, Rangers and Devil games, its over a price increase and I cant find a legit sight to watch the games streaming online…it looks like this disagreement is gonna take a while so Im thinking about getting the pass, is there any other options any one knows about?
I tried the trial league pass last year. It was definitely very good quality HD, you get to watch any games you like and you don’t have to put up with any commercials. The only thing that puts me off it is the price. If you don’t really have too much time to watch games then it may not be a good option from a cost-benefit POV.
It’s actually more expensive for me because it’s in US dollars but I don’t think it’s a bad investment at all. The year pass gives you access to all playoff games as well.
EDIT: I should also mention that they have a cheap option where you select only one team and you get access to all their games. Maybe that’s a good option for you now that you can’t watch Knick games on TV.
I think Andrea Bargnani is going to take a huge step this year.
He’s looking great this year.
20-20 game for Bynum. I’m really liking what I’m seeing from him with Mike Browns new system. If he stays healthy (fingers crossed) I think Bynum will have a monster year.
I really wish the Lakers would get a good young point guard but once this current team has time to gel more and get the system down I think they’ll be fine and a playoff contender for sure.

I remember they had NFL Sunday Ticket available through PS3 this year for football even if you had no DirecTV. Maybe they have that for NBA too?

Mike Brown’s system: Really good D, no offensive plays just let your star do whatever he wants.

Too early to make that call, they could still just be figuring it out.
In Cleveland Lebron was basically the only option. Brown legitimately has more than just 1 Star now.

agreed.
They only had two weeks of practice before the season started and have had virtually zero practices because of the condensed season. As the season goes on they’ll come together and will only get better IMO.
I dont think they’re winning a ring this year (unless they make a trade) but they’ll be a good team and win a playoff series or two

Ok but if Kobe doesn’t listen to him, does Brown have the clout (or the balls) to force Kobe to play to his system? I really think Kobe believes he knows more about offense than Brown.
Check this out. At around the 0:50 mark, Andray Blatche goaltends a free throw. That’s one of the Blatchiest moves yet.
^^I was expecting someone to come flying out of no where and swat away a free throw attempt as it was about to go in lol… that would have been so much cooler.
