NBA Finals 2013

Spurs played like shit and “almost” won. Ginobli is definitely retiring, he can’t dribble anymore…

Ehh, I didn’t watch the game because I knew it was inevitable.

Weird game, literally thought the heat were up by 20 the whole game, until i looked down at the scoreboard to see they were only up by 5.

Spurs gave them the title. They didn’t look like a veteran team at all.

I dont really get Pop’s reasoning to have Parker sitting out again on that play were Ginolbi turned the ball over at the end.

Duncan with the Patrick Ewing missed layup late. Now, Timmy has 4 rings to console himself with, but that still has to be mental torture to see the ball roll off the rim like that in the given situation.

Edit: Also this game definitely showed the signs of a long, fatiguing series, and obviously the rigors of that game 6. Both teams showed big signs of exhaustion in that game. Look at the Spurs minutes for this last game, they just don’t have the bench the Heat do, at least not with the way this series was played matchup wise.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Congrats Miami. LeBron played like the beast he is, and champion he has become.

We (the Spurs) gave away the championship in Game 6 and didn’t play anywhere near as good as we’re capable of playing in Game 7, especially in comparison to other games in the series. Tim Duncan, god bless him, tried to will the Spurs to victory but it wasn’t enough. Not when Danny Green is shooting 8% (!) and Tony Parker only scores 10 points.

I honestly think that if these teams played 21 games for the championship, it’d have been 11-10 with a 50-50 winner.

I don’t know how to process this as a Spurs fan. I wouldn’t be so bummed if I knew we could back there again, but the fact is, another Finals run next year is highly unlikely. I think Duncan has one good year left, Parker a couple and Ginobli is done. We need a legitimate centre and a quality shooting guard to play alongside Danny Green.

Oh yeah, Dann Green was terrible that game. So many times the Heat would contest his three, then you’d see green try to drive to the basket and fuck it up.

The Spurs didn’t deserve the championship. They had their chances and fucked up.

Spurs from 2007 dominate the 2013 Heat but that’s about as useful as old dudes saying they could get young tail if they were younger.

Oh man Duncan’s press conference made me feel so bad for him. Dude is a champion, he sounded so broken.

Where can I see this? I refuse to watch Sportscenter cause this Heat shit will be a rerun for weeks.

They really did, if I was a Spurs player I would be sick to my stomach. Also, what was with everyone on the Spurs team not being able to dribble the ball?? It seemed like they all kept losing control of the ball constantly, maybe it was fatigue. Either way Ginobli is definitely done.

I don’t know where to catch replays, I just always watch the pressers on the NBA site after the games. Maybe someone else can help.

Edit: I guess they all get put up here: Watch NBA: Online Live Basketball Games, Replays, Highlights | NBA.com Duncan’s isn’t up yet.

I saw it. I felt so bad for him. I’m not a Spurs fan, or Heat fan, or LeBron lover/hater, but one thing I am a fan of is Tim Duncan. I still have a ridiculous amount of basketball cards of him… but that press conference was hard to watch.

What an awesome series!
I’m not sure if Miami won it or San Antonio gave it away.
I fully put the fate of this series on Ginobli.
He was the difference (or non difference) maker.
I feel bad for Duncan, he played incredibly.

you mean espin is going to be debating which has a greater legacy, lebron or water until they decide it’s time for 24/7 jets/cowboys coverage ?

Lets just hope Hernandez shoots someone else soon so they can shift the coverage away from LeBron.

Fucking Duncan, man. 37 years old and in game 6/7 he threw up a 30/17 and 24/12 (with 4 steals) in 44 and 43 minutes played. Unreal.

Kawhi Leonard also played completely out of his mind. I was starting to think he had 8 arms.

Credit will go to Heat and LBJ, and it’s well deserved, but man what a series. Couldn’t ask for much more from game 6/7.

all of lebron’s game 7 shots in one second.

I think he’s made a lot more of those than most people are willing to admit.

Holy Celtics trade!

Garnett, Pierce and Terry traded to the Nets!

And they didn’t have to give up Lopez; I really thought the Celts would want him as part of the deal when I saw just the ‘Celtics agree to trade with Nets’ headline(although I don’t know his contract info, so maybe that played into it).
