That’s the game. Too many TO’s for the Spurs. This series is actually starting to piss me off. How can SA play so well then this awful performance. I guess you could say the same for Miami but I hate Miami. Spurs better win game 5 and then take it in 6.
Nobody in the league has an answer for Miami when they play as ‘the big 3.’ Their shooters aren’t even doing anything this game, and the Spurs are actually playing pretty well, sure they have these TOs, but they’re shooting lights out again, and getting to the line. Going into this series Bosh and Wade were basically written off and people made their prediction based on how they were playing. If they play like this, every prediction would’ve been Heat in 6.
That doesn’t mean they play like this again this series, but for this individual game it is what it is. This does however instantly put the pressure back on the Spurs though, because the 2-3-2 format means you cannot leave home down 3-2, absolutely can’t happen.

Basically this.
That’s why I said earlier: If Wade is healthy they win. If not Spurs
FWIW I was excited as hell as a ball fan in general to see Wade play well again. Feels like it’s been forever since he’s had a meaningful game.
That was a terribly ref’d game. How many phantom calls are you gonna give Wade? Also, that was the most non-Spurs basketball I’ve ever seen the Spurs play. Looked like they threw the fucking game. They’re down 12 with 4 minutes left and you sit your starters? Makes sense. Also, James getting 10 points in garbage time just to pad his stats is ridiculous. Bosh better get fined for that bullshit flop on Duncan.

Way too easy, so how about this one:
Who, if anyone, has won Finals MVP as a rookie?
C’mon buddy. Your boy Magic. Think that’s when he played in place of an injured Jabbar against the Sixers.
Who’s the only dude to ever win regular season MVP, DPOY, and Finals MVP in the same season?
pretty safe guess that this is Dream
I was scrolling to see if anyone answered. I’m fairly confident it was Dream, like a 90:10 guess, a sort of ‘if it isn’t him who the fuck was it?’ sort of guess.
Y’all are right, it’s Olajuwon. He’s also one of only 4 dudes in league history to record a quadruple double, and he did it TWICE, but due to a game error he’s only officially credited with one. And, he’s since between bumped from top 10 in boards, but he was the only dude EVER to finish top 10 all time in 5 major statistical categories. Dude was a maniac.

Kenny gives him props all the time on the TNT broadcasts, trying to keep the masses educated on a sometimes forgotten all-time great.

Im in agreement here. That game was marred by sloppy play from the Spurs, a really questionable decision by Pop to concede defeat so early in what was for the most part a tight game, and some BS calls and BS tactics from Miami.
These are the games that make me want this series to end in 6 or less. Its not “fun” for me to watch this go 7 games, its frustrating.
Didnt help that Wade decided to show up tonight. Regardless, the Spurs should have won that game. They dropped the ball.
Wonder who lent Wade that time machine last night…
Getting my tix for Tuesday today >:D
I dont know if i feel bad for or want to punch steve javvy (ex nba ref doing commentary) for trying to defend some of the bullshit his ex-colleagues are trying to call.
Atleast JVG has the balls to call that nonsense out. I loved how he laughed at the one of the explanations and said something to the effect of “battier exaggerated the strength of Ginobli.” That made me lol
I have read this thread for the last 3 seasons/finals and it is comical to watch the posts from the same people from game to game depending on whether they win or lose (not referring to a specific team/s). After the outcome of game 3, I knew exactly what was going to be said on here and who was going to say it. The same applies for last nights game. You guys crack me up.

I’m trying to remember: When the Lakers were winning championships was there this much regular discussion over officiating?

Probably.
There has always been bitching about officiating.
Doesn’t matter if its NBA of NFL, officiating always comes up.
It was inevitable to hear all the talk about bad calls especially with those 3 incredibly obvious Miami flops in the first half alone.
It’s nothing new.

It was really a mediocre story at best.
