Maybe the Jays GM should run your draft. lol
My team the Warriors selected another below average athletic guard that can shoot. We also have the lightest skinned back court in the league.[/quote]
lol - I agree on both counts. Monta Ellis is not going to be around by mid season I bet

Man fuck your Raps. They could have picked Kyrie Irving and they still wouldn’t do jack shit next season. If the NBA was moderately serious about contraction, Toronto and their shitty excuse for a team should be right up there for consideration. Mother fuckers are in Canada which should say enough about how much of a waste they are. Memo to the NBA: buy put that team, dissolve it and leave Canada with hockey.

Might want to recheck that, Raptors are the 10th most valuable team in the NBA and have great attendance most of their seasons.
Euro Trash confirmed for ruining the Raptors.
I agree no pick in the Draft will give them any chance of making the playoffs but shit this team isn’t goign to have a future if they keep making terrible draft picks.
Need to get rid of Bryan Colangelo.

You’re not going to turn a team like the Raptors through the draft. They need veteran, proven players on their roster if they want to ever win. The only problem is no really talented NBA player will want to go up north over the border to Toronto. Toronto is in the same vein as Cleveland; not a place you want to go.

Is this a joke?
The only way a team can turn around is through the draft. They need to get a star and once they start winning players will want to come here.
Winning makes any place to play desirable.
VC loved it here and Bosh played 7 years here. Bosh only left because the team had been poorly managed since his whole time in Toronto and he had chance to play along D-Wade and Lebron.
I really like Jan Vasely. It’s a shame he went to another crap team - probably the one of the most idiotic franchises in NBA history - the Washington Wizards. I hope they don’t ruin what they have in Vasely. A talented guy like that in the right environment like San An or Dallas could achieve big things. At least they’ll have a reasonable exciting team pending John Wall plays like the player he has the potential to be (a more charismatic Derrick Rose with better passing ability).
Yeah there will always be players that do not want to play here (T-Mac and Antonio Davis). But they are exceptions.
Honestly I think you’re just mad I used the term Euro Trash. You have to understand the Raps have made so many International Mistakes
Bargnani
Aleksandar Radojevic
Rafael Araujo
Jose Calderon
Bellinelli
Hedo Turkoglu
Roko Ukic
Primoz Brezec

Yeah I’m half joking - bored watching the draft. It’s fun to take shots at Toronto. I actually like Canada and would consider living there if it wasn’t so damn cold.
But you can’t turn a team around purely from the draft. Those high picks need support and veteran leadership to mature to the players management thought they could be when they drafted them. Very few players have the ability to do what LeBron James did in Cleveland by himself. And if you don’t have that veteran leadership at least have a quality coach that can build talent (Pop, etc). Tim Duncan is not the Tim Duncan we know today if not for the influence of David Robinson.
So yeah, Toronto had Chris Bosh and VC but they sucked even when they had those guys. They need someone like a Steve Nash or someone a long those lines with a proven NBA track record that the other younger guys on the roster will respect and admire.
^ I agree a couple vets would help. Also The Raps got within a FG of the ECF in 2001 with VC
Alrighty I’m done with hte draft time for some nba 2k11 before bed.

Nah I’m not mad. A lot of European players are raw. They need a supportive environment, which includes supportive experienced player that can help guide them. It’s like what I mentioned in my previous post. Take for example what probably the most successful team in regards to developing international players, the San Antonio Spurs, have done. They’ve been able to get value from those international players by letting them be around a winning atmosphere. They didn’t put them straight in, they let them have their time on the bench learning and adjusting their game to the NBA level.

Damn is that VC for real? Man time was not kind on that guy…

WHy are people talking so much about this Jimmer guy? Why is he getting so much hype?
^ Looking at that pic I realize how bad the Raps did in that draft year.

Don’t worry, he’ll still get voted into the all star game
good luck in your future endeavors Yao… the human body wasnt meant to be 7’6" and to run/jump up and down a basketball court. I hope he gets his foot taken care of and recovers nicely. He always seemed like a good guy
