I bet he still dunked on you even with those old man legs.
Lakers fire Mike Brown! Yesssssssssss!!!
How many people here, if building a team to win a championship this year (after this year being irrelevant) would take Wade over Kobe as their starting SG?
Mike D’antoni…new coach of the LA Lakers?
Little whinny bitch Kobe gets what he wants.

And this opinion is based on what exactly?
Kobe was an open supporter of Brown since the beginning.
You’re the Lakers organization and you’re banking on running a ring this year and/or next year… You think you would be happy with an 1-12 start including preseason? Hell no and it doesn’t take Kobe’s disapproval to make this move.
They’re trying to get Howard to stick around after this season and need lots of success in order to ensure that.
Another Kobe hater.
I’m a Laker hater no matter who is on the team. Kobe obviously never wanted him as a coach. He wanted Brian Shaw after Phil Jackson left. He wasn’t going to come out and say he wanted him gone, but you could tell. It doesn’t matter because they won’t win a championship with the team they have, that makes me happy.
As a Cavs fan, i watched Mike Brown during his whole tenure in Cleveland and he’s a good guy. However he never made in game adjustments, which cost us the orlando series in the ECF, and he was pretty much inept when it came to offense.
If lakers had time, which they dont cause their roster in full of geriatrics, i would say they dint give him a fair shot. But they need to win THIS YEAR. They have zero depth, but as long as the bench can keep the game close, there is no reason that roster shouldnt be able to close out games.
haha some guy on the NBA boards just said they should “hire Stan Van Gundy just to see the look on Dwight’s face.”
The Lakers are quickly becoming a joke and the media is catching on. One of their only salvages is to hire a guy like Jerry Sloan who can revamp that organisation to its Phil Jackson glory.
Also, Jerry Sloan seems like a guy who wouldn’t hesitate to slap the shit out of Kobe if he thought he was being disrespectful.

Not me. Give me LeBron, Tyson Chandler, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Kobe Bryant.

If this season is a catastrophic failure then there’s a high chance Dwight will jump ship. Normally, I wouldn’t assume any player is that imperious and mentally feeble but we’re talking about Dwight Howard here.

For a ‘one-year build’ for this year, give me Bryant no question.
For a ‘build a franchise from this point going fwd’ type hypothetical, give me Harden ahead of Wade.

I remember that ORL-CLE ECF being very frustrating to watch. Even more frustrating than James’ tankjob in the following year’s ECF.
Anyway, local sportsradio buzz has been all about the Zenmaster arriving in LA today, so we can prob add his name to the mix…
Mike Brown gone and guess what? Easy win for the Lake Show.
Bring back Phil!!! lol
I don’t really think he’ll come back BUUUUUUT the idea of coaching a Kobe, Nash, Pau and Howard line up has got to be tempting. I bet he can almost smell ring #12 and possibly 13.
You get your wish, greg.
Zenmaster back with LAL.

As long nothing major happens its allegedly all set to go through tomorrow.
I am EXTREMELY happy! I didn’t actually think he would come back but I think the temptation to coach all these stars, win #12 and knock off Pat Riley and the Heat was just too much… The $30 Mill he’s probably going to get doesn’t hurt either lol.
The triangle isn’t an easy O to pick up but considering Kobe, Pau and MWP already know it I think they’ll be able to institute it rather quickly. Jackson is a great coach and probably the only guy out there who could legitimately command the respect of all these stars.
It would be incredible to see Phil coach the Lakers to back to back wins and then he and Kobe can retire with 13 & 7 rings. Would be awesome… But I’ll settle for one title in the next two seasons (unless its this season, in that case they have to go B2B)
If you can’t tell, I’m pretty excited. Haha
Well I think I’m done watching the Raptors for the season. Laker and Heat games here I come.

+1
Though I would’ve been fine with Sloan or D’Antoni as well, that Bryant’s top choice is PJ kinda does matter.
I also wouldn’t expect to see a whole lot of those triple-post sets, not with Stevie Nash and D12 being as mobile as they are.
