NBA 2012 - 2013

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says he was just trying to help educate folks on the collective bargaining agreement when he hypothetically suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers should consider using the amnesty clause on Kobe Bryant.

And after scoring 38 points in the Lakers’ 103-99 win over Cuban’s Mavericks on Sunday, Byrant shot back on Twitter.

“Amnesty THAT,” Bryant wrote.

Cuban later saluted Bryant’s postgame tweet, saying via Twitter: "… “But I do have to give props to @kobebryant for a great tweet. #Welldone.”

Lakers are 11-4 in their last 15 games, very impressive. The problem is they haven’t been able to beat quality teams like the type of talent they will encounter in the playoffs (assuming they make the playoffs). Kobe going off for 40 isn’t going to beat those other teams, especially when it’s become observable reality that Kobe’s scoring domination doesn’t translate to superior TEAM performance and henceforth Ws. All you have to do is look at '06 and '07. Kobe’s teammates seem to get cold more often than not when he decides to take over games, something I can’t say about LBJ and the Heat.

While I agree with you for the most part did you watch the Lakers/Mavs game?

Kobe had to take over in the 4th because no one could score. Howard was way off and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.

I don’t want Kobe to have to play like that but the Lakers needed that performance yesterday.

I only saw the 4th quarter but that was a great ending to watch. Anything that shuts up Mark Cuban makes me happy. Pretty dumb move for the Mav’s to get 2 T’s down the stretch in such a close game. They should’ve let the one on Dirk slide. You could see his arm get hit from every angle. They missed the call, he complained. Even Steven.

The entire game was like the 4th quarter. Back and forth the whole way. It was an awesome game to watch.

Yeah those T’s definitely hurt the Mavs down the stretch. That Dirk no call was a blown one for sure. There was some questionable officiating going on in that game. I think they gave out 3 T’s (Kobe got one too) that were pretty weak calls. They were calling and not calling some weird stuff. They kit Kobe with 2 traveling calls.

That never happens lol. I thought superstars were allowed 5 steps?

haha, that’s true. How else would Lebron take his last dribble at the 3 point line on every fast break.

^^lol

Anyone see the scuffle at the end of the Warriors and Pacers game?

Hibbert tossed Steph Curry around like a rag doll haha

^^ Caught the highlights just now.

Hope C-Hibbert doesnt get suspended for upcoming matchup vs LAC.

And with Granger getting back, I really feel like IND has decent shot vs MIA in a best-of-seven. (and I cannot say that about anyone else in the East)

Looks like he got a game. Kinda dumb but I thought he would.

The whole thing would have been a non issue if Steph Curry didn’t run in there just to get rag dolled around lol. That’s what really escalated the whole thing.

I’m really looking forward to Mia vs Indy in the playoffs. Indy blew it against them last season after being up 2-1 at home.

Steph Curry mad over-hyped. I saw all these stars giving him dap after games and particularly over the All-Star weekend. Who the hell is this guy? More importantly, who does he think he is? Yeah, he’s got a nice jumper – smooth stroke and controlled but he’s not the best shooter in the game as some have labelled him. He doesn’t even have the best pure stroke. By the way, his stats are average.

He’s a boy in a mans league. Roy Hibbert isn’t much of a man himself but he nudged him and Curry flew like he’d been punched by Superman. Too bad there are no strong and dominant big men anymore, otherwise Curry would have close to 0 points in the paint.

I want to see GS play the Lakers in the playoffs so I can see Artest bully this kid.

Curry, stay sane son.

Fuck Steph Curry just scored 54 points. I pick the worst times…

Steph Curry had his break-out party right after I post that – good player on a bad team the past 3 seasons and NOW of all times he’s taking the next step. You can’t blame me, he’s still small and looks like a kid.

Artest will be bullied against SA, OKC or LAC before they play the Warriors.

welp after bragging about the Raps beating the knicks they lose 2 straight first to the Wiz at home then to the Kyrie-less Cavs on the road.

Hilarious Get.

Dropping 54 in the mecca is awfully nice.

Wow!!!

Did you guys see Ariza’s game winner??

Lets try that again:

Heh. I was like, that’s gotta be the most subdued celebration I’ve ever seen at any level… dude looks almost borderline upset… wait, why are they leaving the court??
