One to watch these playoffs: LeBron James.
Imagine if he won MVP, Finals MVP and a championship.
If he plays 90% of how well he’s been playing this regular season he could have one the best seasons for a player ever.
I am rooting for LeBron James.

People have been ‘imagining’ that for about 8 years now, that’s kind of the whole problem…
NBA Finals predictions:
Spurs vs Bulls/Knicks . i got Miami out first round and Lakers eliminating OKC.
CNBC has a show about ‘sonicgate’ at 9pm.

In Cleveland LeBron never had the support D-Wade offers him, both mentally in that he doesn’t always have to be ‘the guy’ and on the court when he’s struggling.
Slightly diverging from the conversation though, I’ve always felt that players of LeBron’s calibre, with the ego their talent inevitably brings need a top tier coach to control them and put them on the right path. Each one of these ‘superstars’ is different and you need a coach who understands how to manage talent like that.
I was briefly skimming the sports channels yesterday and came across ESPN Soccernet Presspass as they were talking about Pep Guardiola leaving Barcelona. They were discussing how the perspective Guardiola had one of the easiest jobs in football is just plain wrong. Managing the best talent in the world requires the same amount of time and energy with probably even more pressure relative to other coaching jobs because you’re expected to constantly win. Guiardiola was a superbly talented coach, evidenced in the fact he got the Barcelona job in the first place but also because he always won. He knew how to manage arguably the best players in the world and filter their talent to success on the score board. Raw talent alone doesn’t guarantee wins, just ask the Heat last year. Another talented coach (and pardon the soccer references) is Jose Mourinho who’s leading Real Madrid to the EUFA Champions League final in his second year after years of disappointing seasons Real Madrid had before him with essentially the same talent.
Mike and Kobe had Phil. I’d like to see a Phil, Riley or Pop coach LeBron.
Let me take a WILD guess - you’re a Knicks fan?
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7863236/us-attorney-investigating-nba-players-union\
Apparently the U.S Attorney’s Office is going to investigate the NBPA’s finances on allegations executive director Billy Hunter persuaded the Union to use his son’s failing investment firm (as well as other related party transactions).
At least we can now validate Derek Fisher as a genuinely stand-up guy.

Worst Case Playoff Scenario: Miami beats the Lakers in the final (that would bloooooooooooooooow)
You think the worst case scenario for the Lakers is to lose it in the Finals?
So you think that would be worse than the Lakers getting swept by the Nuggets in the first round?
Yup
Raj, you might get your wish. Rose just buckled his knee and dropped on a non-contact play. He had to be helped off the court. If he’s done Chicago’s hopes go out the window. Hope he’s alright, but it didn’t look good.
Oh yeah, I think the Knicks have a pretty good shot of upsetting Miami. AND, if they do what are the odds Miami blows up the big 3?
This idea that the Knicks JUST started playing defense under Mike Woodson as a headcoach by the national media is a complete fallacy…Knicks have been playing good defense all year, yes better under Woodson, but they have been a good defensive team ALL year.
Realistically I can see the knicks taking the Heat to 6, if they steal a game in Miami.
Fuck Miami, Fuck Lebron, Fuck Wade, Fuck that 12 year old coach, a big fuck you to Pat Riley, Suck my dick Jimmy Buffett. Eat a dick Alonzo Mourning, Keith Askins, Voshon Leonard, Dan Marejele, Tim Hardaway, PJ Brown, Jamal Mashburn, Kevin Edwards, Bruce Bowen, Bimbo Coles and anyone else I might have forgot.

I heart Harold Miner.
Jesus Christ, how many bullshit calls can go the Heat’s way? This is fucking ridiculous.
How is that a fucking foul! Lebron made the contact…fucking refs taking the knicks out of this game

Note to David Stern: WE GET IT, YOU WANT LEBRON JAMES TO WIN.
If I was headcoach, it would be worth the monetary fine to shit on the reffing after the game…
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!
SOMEBODY GIVE LEBRON AN OSCAR FUCKING FAGGOT!
so much flopping I would call it soccer
