I landed just about the same spot as USMC when I took the test seriously.
This time I took it as a power-hungry homosexual hyper-capitalist who wants unlimited pornography but believes that the state needs to be heavily involved in bedroom affairs (to produce more and better orgasms, presumably). I also believe in astrology and demand more religious teachings (of astrology) in our compulsory education system.
Apparently that puts my dot at exactly the same place as Margaret Thatcher.
In theory, pretty much everyone south of the X axis should get along by agreeing to disagree and leaving people alone.
It’s the Authoritarian Right and Left that make me ill.
Heck Authoritarian moderates (e.g., Romney) make me ill.

Well the issue stems from me being socially liberal and fiscally conservative (like a ton of people my age).
But since fiscal conservatism is dead all that’s left is socially liberal. Virtually nothing from the GOP appeals to me except the death penalty.

I understand. Can’t say I am a huge establishment Republican fan.
But things like gun control, forced insurance participation, forced cake baking, etc, are all inherently authoritarian. Hence, the Democrat party should be more repugnant, given it is even less fiscally conservative (believe it or not) than the Republicans and contains no libertarians, at all.
You’re a center-left libertarian, as I am a center-right libertarian.
It’s a lonely place, as those in government (Republican and Democrat) get power by taking things and money and rights from people and giving it to other authoritarians (after taking their skim, of course).
Well, there is Bernie S., Nancy P, Ocassio-Cortez, Obama, Hillary, and the rest.
Also, Romney, Paul Ryan, John Cornyn, and the various members of the Republican establishment.
They’re all authoritarians, just split on the left-right economic axis.

We can do this now or in 20 years. I’ve gone into detail elsewhere about why I believe single payer is the inevitable only future outcome, and delaying only makes it worse when we finally do it

I am very keen not to let other people be oppressed (be it a baker or gays who want to play house), even if it does nothing to me personally.
I suppose it comes from having 9/10 of my extended family thrown into an oven by an authoritarian regime.
