Nattokinase: The Best Thing for Your Heart?

So I guess if I add this in to my regimen, I will officially be a ‘Soy Boy’?

Welcome to the club!

I kinda giggled at the dosage being in FUs. Being newly single, I get a LOT of FUs

I did say it was an unfortunate acronym!

thanks for the intro to a new compound.

I am a big supporter of Vitamin K2 for heart health as well, especially for Nandrolone use.

Up your game big man…I’ve been experimenting with natto now for almost a year and adding in serrapeptase - and if you’re really feeling froggy lumbrokinase as well - for a winning one two (maybe three) punch. I don’t want to mention brands but there is a highly reputable company offering the combo in enteric form, for improved absorption, that’s one of the best I’ve tried. Also there is a more expense combo out there offering 30,000 FU’s of nattokinase, serrapeptase and lipase per serving, in case you want to nuke the target. All great stuff and definitely part of my daily supplementation now that I’ve hit the age of 50.

Truth be told, I was waiting to see if you lived before I felt it was safe to recommend any of that stuff. (Har har!)

What about the dreaded phytoestrogens?

That might be an issue, albeit small, when eating natto, but not nattokinase. Nattokinase is an enzyme that’s been chemically isolated from natto. By definition, it’s free of any other compounds, including the phytoestrogens found in soy products.

Excellent, thank you!

is it ok to continue taking fish oil with this as fish oil really makes my blood thin

Well, as you know, having blood that’s too “thin” can possibly lead to bleeding of the brain. I wish I could give you more guidance on this issue, but it’s probably one for your doctor (assuming he’s even open to the idea of taking nattokinase).

My left leg has been full of DVT for more than 20 years now, and I’ve been on warfarin most of that time. Currently 15 mg/day. VA won’t do anything to remove the clots, which were trauma induced while in the Army, not predisposed, so I definitely have to check this out more. If NK could actually dissolve these clots that would be seriously life altering for me. After more research into it, I think I’ll probably start it a day or two before a scheduled PT/INR. Thank you for this.

As a follow-up, I began taking nattokinase after reading this article. I just finished a doctor’s appointment that saw me at 120/78 right after coffee and food - I’d normally be looking at 132/80 at least. I kept getting these numbers at home the last few days and kept retaking them because I didn’t believe them. Thanks @TC_Luoma!

Sorry, just saw your post. Good luck, and let me know what happens.

Think this is my first post, but…read this, bought a ton the same day, it’s been 3 weeks and i went from routinely 140-150/110-115, to damn near ideal, take a reading every night once the caffeine has worn off, 115/84 was my latest. Pretty magical.
I dropped the aspirin, kept the fish oil, no lifestyle changes, still eat garbage, I’ll go on a 3 month lifting binge with no cardio, get lazy for 2 months.

41, familial hyperlipidemia, basically, I’m a ticking time bomb, but a week of normal-ish BP readings was a nice hope-restoring boost. This was pretty much my last non-pharmaceutical hope, I’ve been scared of pushing my heart, now I feel reasonably confident I can do some bike and stairs without stroking out.
Been on minimum 6000FU a day, some days going up to 10000FU (depends on my eating). Real blessing finding this stuff.

I just started on nattokinase.
Been taking statins that don’t agree with me and baby aspirin ditto. Plus prescribed BP meds I hate because they make me swell so diuretics on top, and then K supplements…
Today I went for a blood test and for the first time ever needed some time to stop bleeding afterwards.
Dropped the aspirin and feeling hopeful. :slightly_smiling_face:

Cool. Let us know how you do.

Are you guys connecting the dots yet with all these heart issues with athletes, teenagers and more! I just lost many friends including recently a brother in law who couldn’t be saved because they couldn’t find an open artery for the stint. Another friend of mine is in surgery right now an active cyclist. What a quadruple bypass which is normally a walk in the park has become a complicated matter as stints cannot get through. Don’t you see what’s going on here or are you too afraid to bring up the subject?
